The man suspected of planting bombs in New York City and New Jersey was able to use the popular online bidding site eBay
to secretly collect bomb components starting months ago, officials allege in court documents.

Ahmad Rahami, the 28-year-old who was apprehended Monday after a shootout with police, purportedly began plans for a bombing in mid-June
when he purchased more than 200 round lead and steel balls designed as slingshot ammunition.

"I know, based on my training, experience, and conversations with other law enforcement officials, that ball bearings can be used in improvised explosives to increase fragmentation and thus to increase the lethality of the device," FBI agent Peter Fredrick Licata said in a criminal complaint filed late Tuesday in New York.
Elsewhere the complaint notes that the bomb that detonated in New York City's Chelsea neighborhood was "packed with ball bearings and steal nuts."

And if a pressure cooker can be a bomb, why not a paint can, or a five gallon bucket?

A friend told me that he saw lots of IED’s hidden when the terrorist scum used expanding foam to make curbs in the street with the bomb hidden beneath the curb,

Ban insulating foam NOW!

You can use screws, nuts and bolts, small stones, glass, or anything hard as shrapnel.

I use to work for a military contractor who developed practice IEDs for the military EOD schools. My office mate was a retired Army EOD specialist and he would go to the office supply closet and pick out stuff to make IEDs. He was in hog heaven at Lowes or Walmart.

He could go to any hobby shop or RadioShack and get components for triggers and timers.

My point is that IEDs are easy to make for anyone who has a little chemistry and electrical knowledge. It’s virtually impossible to ban everything that can be used to make an IED. You would have to give up cleaning supplies, rusty iron, aluminum, magnesium, cell phones, remote control toys, alarm clocks, candles, propane, gasoline, etc.

At that point, terrorists would start using vehicles, bacteria, airplanes and poisons.

Trying to control potential projectile materials for bombs is neurotically absurd. A comprehensive list of suitable everyday objects would number in the tens of thousands at least.

I don’t think that’s true. they were assembled at home. very simple instructions...didn’t have to be a rocket scientist

NO, it IS true. Look it up. Even lefty sites admit it. Here’s one below.

Its not rocket science, but there is skill and knowledge involved, especially in handling the volatile chemicals. The FBI admitted they couldn’t find traces of these chemicals in Tsarnaev’s house or elsewhere

So then the question is WHERE were the bombs made, and WHO made them?

Funny how the very same mainstream media that hates to say “It was Muslims” has no qualms about suggesting excellent, easily accessible bomb components ....
They must be disappointed that so many in the Religion of Peace, and so few “Islamophobes,” are taking the hint.
