One tubby tabby cat has guests at a New Hampshire hotel ordering extra room service.
The Best Western Silver Fox in Waterville Valley has a fat cat causing some folks to want to come back for another visit.
Logan, is 8-years-old and 31 pounds, which is about triple the weight of an average cat.
His owner says he loves hogging the attention and the meals of his brothers and sisters.
"He has a funny little habit of licking each bowl, and then going back to his. I told you he's kind of a character," says Susan Brunvand, Logan's owner.
Looks like a very sweet kitty, but needs to lose at least 10 lbs if she wants to have that kitty around very long.
He needs to lose about half his body weight, before he develops diabetes and cardiac issues. If they love him, they will do it.
(just kidding!)
Unfortunately, the larger the cat is, the shorter their lifespan.
His weight is not good for him.
Obesity isn’t funny nor should this fat animal or his stupid owners get any attention.
I agree with the other posters. Very unhealthy for a cat that size. The local alley cat is over 15 pounds, but it actually looks and feels lean.
How did you weigh the local alley cat? I hope your skin transplant is going well.
He no fat, he just have thyroid issues.
Our cat, CATTBUTT, is sort of porky. She has her own little
cat door cut out of a window and comes in and out as she
wishes. All she wants to eat is TREATS. I started pouring
a few TREATS in with her regular WILDCAT FOOD & she hunts
all sorts of critters and even brings us LIVE critters in
through her window - thinking we need her to provide for us.
She used to take a running start at a rocker in the living
room; then one day, she got too heavy for that chair and it
FLAPPED over with her. She tried it a few more times; but
it FLAPPED over every time. She still tries it every now
and then - hoping it will magically do different. I think
that is called INSANITY!
Ping the list please?
Caught him, had him fixed and a basic load of shots (oops, that may turn this into a pro-vax/anti-vax thread). Leather gloves available when he looks like he needs from flea spray in the summer. Supplemental feeding and shelter in the winter, of course, in exchange for which he patrols the roof at night for roof rats.
These people are FOOLS. They don’t really love that cat at all. They are setting the poor thing up for a short life and diabetes, arthritis, etc. I really feel for that cat.
A marketing coup.
Makes me sad to see a grossly obese cat. This is animal cruelty on the part of the pet owner. The cat requires an immediate change in diet!
Large, Lovely, Wanted.
I have one at home like this but all white.
I tell him.
