Why do foreign born people run all of these convenience stores?
And, there have been so many cases just like this, of food stamp fraud. Can’t we tighten up how EBT cards and food stamps, if anyone still uses the actual coupons, are used??
Can’t we do more audits of these stores, or do something with how eligibility is determined, so that we can be sure that the financial aid we give to poor people goes to the purpose intended????

They run them because they pool their money and get low interest loans as immigrants to buy one They then get 7 years without having to pay federal taxes. At that time they “sell” the business to another in the family and get another 7 years tax free.
Some also scam the sales tax system by not recording cash sales. Ask for receipt if you pay cash. It p1sses them off! They also scam the Food stamp system as stated in the article.
The owner of the Lovejoy, N.Y. Convenience Store, Ahmed Al Shami from Yemen has a similar name to the owner of the M&M First Stop Gas station and convenience store in Courtland, Ms. The owner of that store was reported to be Ali Al Sanai also of Yemen.
