if it's truly 250,000+ years old... that means:
1. previous civilization was wiped out (very unlikely)
2. beings visited the planet and left the piece for some reason (very likely)
3. at some point in time, we develop time travel and the piece was accidentally left in the past (maybe)
Clearly it’s a tooth from a back-hoe or front-end loader.......they couldn’t have been that advanced as aluminum is a soft metal and wouldn’t last that long....
;-)
I would not dismiss #1 so quickly.

if we were to find evidence of intelligent alien life it would be something like this. a piece of space junk or something that is obviously a worked piece of metal made with technology that does not fit the time. I have my doubts about most UFO being alien craft but things like this stop and gives thought to the possibility that at some time in the past earth might of had extra terrestrial visitation if not a alien manned device perhaps a robotic ship sent out to probe the universe.
How does c-12 dating work on Al?
Wouldn’t interstellar travelers use something swankier than aluminium” It looks pretty clunky. I would expect sleeker and stronger. Honestly- that is quite the ingot. And we’re to believe it was used on a spacecraft?
