The Philadelphia 76ers pulled an R&B singer from her scheduled national anthem performance before their game Wednesday night because of a message she had written across her shirt, and the players are reportedly not happy about it.
Sevyn Streeter says the 76ers told her two minutes before she was about to walk onto the floor that she had to change her shirt, which said We Matter across the front.

No go to, no watcha da NBA since, well, forever.
..........as long as the woman is not disrespecting the flag I don’t give a damn what letters are on her shirt! That she feels disposed to write “We Matter” on her shirt is like saying look at me! I’m stupid!
You forgot to mirror the letters ...
That she couldn't outsmart whitey by reversing the letters.
Sorry, darlin', that only works on people whose IQs are less than 60. And we know who they are.
Let me guess, she was going to drop to her knees during her singing of the anthem.
Time for all sports teams to get local amateur talent to do the national anthem and require them to sign a contract that they will not engage in certain divisive or inflammatory acts during their performance.
“Whats wrong with we matter
We do, dont we?”
I don’t think you get the non-inclusiveness of the “we” in “we matter.”
Never say “Drop to her knees” when talking about women and Basketball players. Way too suggestive but the imagery is PRICELESS.
The NBA is trying to keep these political protests under wraps. The season is just starting but this was the first incident averted.
More to the point, we should make some fans inscribed FANS MATTER.If they started appearing in quantity at NFL games, perhaps a hint might be taken.
Maybe.
“One player who wishes to remain anonymous says the decision to not let Sevyn sing has rubbed him the wrong way”
Now there’s a player with a big pair of balls/s

It's in the NBA rule book that the players and coaches are to line up either at the foul line or side line and stand in a respectful manner during the playing of the pre-game national anthem.
I think it was a selfie she took of a mirror image.
