Was watching Fox this morning. At 6 am, instead of Fox & Friends, a message appeared saying I needed to subscribe to this channel. Fox News is a free channel on Directv. Just spoke with a representative. This problem is widespread and they are working to resolve it, hopefully within an hour or two.
Just wanted to pass this information along to others who use Directv. Coincidence that this problem should suddenly occur at precisely 6 am EST?

I was fed up with DirectV for a long time. I’d been paying $98.96 for what amounts to basic cable but with two DVRs and HD.
I called them up in late October and told the customer rep I want to speak to whoever I have to cancel my service. They asked why and I said “you’re gouging me - have been for years” “I’m just going to full streaming elsewhere - it works great”.
Long story short, they cut my bill nearly in HALF. So I’ll keep them for 12 more months and then drop them because I like the DVRs.
I too got fed up of Direct TV , but they refused to even drop my fees, , but said I could have a free movie. PFFTT.
I got ATT for half the rice, and got more channels, and got One America News,.
I’ve been staying at a Holiday InnExpress in Houston for the last 6 days.
Every morning I turn on Fox News when getting ready for the day. Just now, 5:55, Fox News “ has not been purchased”.
Fox Business still here. It’s a conspiracy of epic proportion!

Out for me too.
I switched to DirecTV from DISH because DISH kept continuously letting their contracts with certain channels lapse. Fox News, CNN, TCM, and several important channels would disappear for a week or two or more until they resolved it.
I am nearing the end of my 2-year commitment to DirecTV. I'd love to drop it, but the wife watches the Hallmark channels all the time. Can't stream those.
Fox Temporarily swapped Direct TV Channels with Fusion TV.
Both CNN and FOX News have that same message here. I do get Fox Business though.
Its still ongoing, but then again is it really bad news?

I am in CA and am tied to Cox Cable. This same thing happened to me yesterday at 7:30 am PST. I had to call and get a reboot which took an inordinate amount of time. Oddly too, we had to turn in a fairly new box last month,because all of the sudden it would not allow viewing FOX on HD channel. No amount of rebooting and all resolved this. Both times the screen came up as you described that it was not subscribed to. The Russians? (satire)
Lol!! Hallmark, the "Christmas all year round" channel. They have already begun their Christmas programming. By Christmas, your wife should be sick of it. Hopefully she'll concede by then.
Comcast tried this a few weeks ago. I was furious. I knew they were doing this as a political thing.
FOX News Channel was still there in standard def, but Comcast tried to tell me FOX got out of the HD business.
I called them out as liars because I called FOX.
FOX is back and has been since the day after he incident. They must have had many furious calls. LOL

That’s a real easy question to answer- I quit watching Fox news quite a while ago.
If you want to watch specific shows on there like Hannity or whoever, you can always get them online. But as a station I removed it from my menu guide lineup.
