Was watching Fox this morning. At 6 am, instead of Fox & Friends, a message appeared saying I needed to subscribe to this channel. Fox News is a free channel on Directv. Just spoke with a representative. This problem is widespread and they are working to resolve it, hopefully within an hour or two.
Just wanted to pass this information along to others who use Directv. Coincidence that this problem should suddenly occur at precisely 6 am EST?
I have Comcast/Infinity as my supplier. Occasionally I lose service and a message pops up telling me that my equipment is not authorized to receive this channel. It is not channel specific, just whatever channel I’m watching at the time. The message directs me to call a number which I ignore. After a brief while my normal service resumes. I think this is some kind of a hack and scam trying to get a credit card number or sell unwanted services.
Of course, it’s the Russians. Mainly someone by the name of Clintonesky.
I wish it were only the Christmas movies. Yes they run many of them during the Holidays, and they do a "Christmas in July" thing in the summer. Those movies are all cookie-cutter versions of one or two plots. These days, she mainly watches the various mysteries on the Hallmark Mystery channel, which feature Lori Loughlin, Candice Cameron Bure, Allison Sweeney, Brooke Shields and others as a continuing character in their own series of mystery movies.
But, it is wholesome fare. My wife likes laid back programming that isn't very violent with a small town atmosphere. She re-reads the Jan Karon Mitford books in order continuously.
Here we go again. Day 2 and no Fox & Friends or Fox Business. Are you having the same issue?
Oh, she would be so much better off without those movies.
Since I don’t watch that content, I am not sure if Netflix or Amazon has something comparable.
I have a friend who cut the cord, but they kept watching over the air broadcasts, so really didn’t “cut the cord.”
They are putting cable back in. When you cut the cord, you have to do it completely. Once you get away from commercials, etc, you will never be able to sit and watch over the air/cable tv again.
Yes. It cut out at exactly six am again. CNN also goes out at the same time. Hackers?
I just logged in on Directv online chat and demanded a discount since I have paid for a service, but they haven’t provided it. I got a $5 discount, it’s the principle of the thing. If WE ALL call in to get a discount its much less likely to happen a third time,
