Powered by South Florida, state's early turnout hits 50 percent
Tampa Bay Times ^ | 11/7/2016 | Steve Bousquet

Posted on 11/07/2016 7:37:03 AM PST by Armando Guerra

Powered by a record-setting torrent of last-minute early voters in traditional Democratic strongholds, Florida's pre-election turnout reached 6.4 million Monday, by far the largest of any state. That's an all-time Florida record and equivalent to about half of the state's electorate of 12.9 million voters.

This is good news for Trump. There is ZERO enthusiasm for Shrillary. Cubans, Hispanics and Blacks voting in UNPRECEDENTED numbers for Trump.

Probably more important, there has been no explosion of population in Miami Dade. There was a Puerto Rican increase in counties north of there, but not Miami Dade.

EV surge from there just cannibalizes from tomorrow.

Look at it this way. Miami-Dade had a 102% increase in early voting, but yet they are only half of the early voting lead as in 2012. Also means that less miami-dade voters will be voting tomorrow.

I think Trump is going to win the election if he wins Florida and it looks like he will do it. I think in reality, Democrap voters are either going to stay home or vote for someone other than Hillary, that’s the vibe I’m getting. If that is true, he is going to obliterate her tomorrow. On the OTHER hand, right now we have the most corrupt government in US history, hardcore enemies of freedom and the people running things so mass voter fraud could happen as well.

I have read three or four of these “Democrats surge in FL” articles this morning. They all have headlines saying Democrats are surging and argue that the recent surge in Dem early votes doom Trump. But the numbers in all of these articles still show DEM early votes 3 % below 2012. The actual numbers in all of these articles are very pro-trump. This is spin at it’s spinniest. I can’t believe so many freepers don’t read past the MSMs headline propaganda.

And here's the Tampa Bay Times talking about how great the early voting for Charlie Crist was, in his race against Rick Scott:

I think they are relying on large numbers of newly registered Puerto Ricans in the I-4 corridor going for Hillary...at least that’s what a local newscaster reported.

I’m not sure those are going to be as liberal as the New York Puerto Rican community Hillary is accustomed to having at her beck and call.

A lot of them left Puerto Rico because of the economic problems there.

Jersey, I'm with you and I live in Miami, FL! I am heartened by a couple of things I've read and heard of these last few days. LIKE: It appears that the predominate Latino vote in South Florida is now leaning Trump for his virulent anti-Castro rhetoric. That's good. ALSO, just the suggestion that the Dems have outvoted the Republicans and therefore Clinton is a lock is erroneous. None of these count for the Independent voter (like me). I voted the second day of early voting. Independents have been sharply trending Trump.

The early voting scheme makes me very nervous because that is where fraud is most likely to occur.

Trump has a real chance at this and I have done what I can do! If he wins this it will be even sweeter because any shred of credibility the MSM has will be gone for everyone as they are still claiming she will win.

If she wins there is something seriously wrong because she is underperforming with just about every democratic voting bloc you can name. I cannot reconcile what we know to be true with the polls that we are seeing showing her with a slight lead? How is this possible?

I’d put it this way. I am in FL by the way.

Early voting is getting more popular. More people have early voted this time in FL than in any previous election. After all that, the 2016 early voting advantage for the democrats was modestly less than 2012.

Whoever wins with the independents will win FL.

So what are you going to do aside from posting this BS article?

I am good for a half dozen votes already in people I have talked into voting for Trump and either taken them to early voting or making sure they sent in their ballots. How about you?

Well I would rather have the truth right now rather than defeatist, but I would also rather have the truth over unsubstansiated bloviating. When I look for silver linings I see a few, but as of now I am less confident than I was in 2012 at the same time 4 years ago. I want to be wrong also. I really do. Remember when Mittens went into Michigan and Pennsylvania late last election cycle? People here were saying he was actually trying to extend his lead.

Look at the real numbers, not the leftist newspapers.

While Dems do have a lead in the number of voters turning out to vote early, those numbers are down from 2012, when 0bama won FL by less than 1%. Republicans have turned out in higher numbers than in 2012, these are the eager Trump voters. And how many of theose Democrats turned out to vote for Trump too?

Trump leads huge in the polls of people in FL who say they will vote on election day (51% to 36%). So if the Dems have a moderate lead in early voting, Trumps overwhelms on election day and takes the lead.

I beleive Trump will win all the Romney states, along with FL, OH and IA. That puts him at 259 EV’s

PA, VA, CO, NV, NM. NH, MI and ME CD2 are all very close toss ups. Trump just needs 2 of them (only one if VA, MI or PA go his way).

First, thanks for your service to our country. My family appreciates the sacrifices any past or present soldiers endures.
Second, this is an election unlike any other my friend and we know the media is not being honest with us so all bets are off. I just walked a TV with Fox News on at work and they are all but assuring a Hillary victory based upon todays polls.
Here’s hoping the Dems stay home, thinking that it’s all wrapped up. Trump voters will all be there en masse ready to vote GUILTY tomorrow.
IMHO, this is the trial of HRC in the court of public opinion. It will tell us a great deal about where we stand as a country and I am hopeful.
