I just got an email from a former colleague/friend who works in a diff ofc now. he is a lib, NYC jewish, etc. but we managed to have a respectful friendship. He is terrified and they are considering leaving the country or at least moving far from DC. I am really shocked. I am asking in a kind way exactly what he fears Trump doing, but he does consider him to be a deranged lunatic. The divide is wide and deep in this country. We could be from different planets, for all intents and purposes.
I don’t understand. People in Chicago are allowed to rally around illegal immigrants. But not around religious people.
We are allowed to protest deportations of those not American — but not gay marriage or transgender restrooms, which impinge upon the rights of many American citizens.
Liberal hypocrisy at its finest. All of them should be immured.
