If you profiled the top CEO’s of USA based corporations you’d probably find most went to Ivy League schools, vote for Democrats regularly, never served in the military, their children never served or serve now, view Patriotism as a quaint devotion and all are “Free Traders”.

Actually I think it time we stop accept the words of the theoreticians and poltical dogmatists at Universities as gospel truth.

Maybe we need start examining the outcomes for the USA of following their theories on Economic and Trade for the last 70 years. There all sort of Economic theory, such as Marxism” that are proven failures. Just because someone is a “Havard Professor of Economics” does not mean he actually has sound ideas.

Mankiw is right. Trump should try to improve the overall business climate and not target individual companies.

I won’t be happy if he keeps it up for 4 years. I will be thrilled if he’s setting expectations for ALL companies with a few real, high publicity examples. If all companies start to believe they will get tax and regulatory relief, and worry about losing govt contracts, they can start making decisions today that will MAGA. Trump cannot change taxes and regulations yet but he can talk to CEOs. (and Pence can change taxes/regulations in his state which helps)

I see Trump setting a pro-business tone - not giving away favors. We’ll have to see which view is more correct.

I’ve made more money than 99% of any academic that ever worked at Harvard.

How could that be?

I believe PE Trump is trying to set a tone; establish a way of doing business, that tells CEO’s they better not mess with the workers of their businesses. Once the CEO’s get the message, PE Trump will not have to baby-sit them anymore.

If you have a nickle, and you add a nickle, what do you have?

The answer is: not a dime. You have 2 nickles.

Liberals always project onto others what they do themselves.

The President of the United States is not the central planner for the U.S. economy,” Mankiw said.

ReAlly?

Because, you guys sure give high marks to Clinton and Obama for their handling of the economy.

He only has to micromanage a few companies for a short time to get all the rest to fall in line, professor.
