I like to give gifts that are consumable or you use it up. That way you are not adding clutter to other people’s lives.
An example is coffee (if they are coffee drinkers) or wine if they are wine drinkers, etc.
An exception is very useful gifts that can be used over many years and don’t take up much space, like a warm winter scarf or a small garden tool (for gardeners).
VHS to DVD transfer machine for wife.
12 bottles of white wine for wife in a yuge basket.
everyone else gets gift cards or nothing!!

some scratch offs, an a bottle of JD, the good stuff
I give chocolate chip cookie dough to friends, in large enough amounts to make some for Santa with the kids (or grandkids) and still have enough left to bake up some to share with their families. It’s not much, but they enjoy it.
