The mother of a gang member who confessed to brutally murdering a transgender teenage girl in a hate crime has claimed her son's victim was 'living in sin'.
Kelly Wilkins, from Mobile, Alabama, is the mother of 29-year-old Josh Brandon Vallum - who pleaded guilty to a hate crime on Wednesday over the killing of 17-year-old Mercedes Williamson.
Williamson was found dead and partially buried in a field on June 3, 2015. Vallum confessed to the killing, which he said was motivated by his fear of how he would be judged by gang members for having a relationship with a transgender woman. He stabbed her multiple times with a military knife and beat her with a claw hammer until the screaming stopped, according Alabama.com.

I'll do some forced recon on the situation, find out what the status is now. But from what I recall back then,he was the bad guy, period.
Honestly, all things remaining true, I don't think I would have responded differently.

Vallum is not the brightest person in the town.
He admitted to murder and said it was not self-defense.
Instead, he said that he feared what other people would think.
No self-defense, no insanity plea, Vallum is just a murderer.

From reading the article, it is apparent that Josh Brandon Vallum is a homosexual.
So, being that he is gay, it should not have been a surprise to him that the dude he was making out with had a penis.
With that, his reaction was not normal and after he murdered the victim, he tried to bury the body. That's murder, that's life in prison.
You would think the American media would be blasting this story out everywhere. Fits their agenda. Before clicking, I thought the perp was black which might explain the media silence. But since the perp is white, you’d think the MSM would turn this into Matthew Sheppard again.
Criminals are generally stupid. Wife was on a murder jury where accused would have walked on the murder charge had he said “x pulled a gun on me and I drew at same time and shot first”, but he said the other guy FIRED and the plant gun he put on him had an obstructed barrel (like filled with lead to de mil or be an inert) and couldn’t have possibly done so.

My takeaway back then was the perp knew “she” was a he.
So yeah, the perp is homosexual.
If the young man had gone to Walmart and bought some groceries, and then gone home and watched television, he would still be alive.
Note to men pretending to be women: lots of drunk, immoral men don’t like finding out they’re getting it on with another man. It afflicts their self-image, and then they’ll kill you.
I can see the reaction.
This was not a premeditated hate crime.
The guy was set up and deliberately deceived.
Upon further reading, I think I need to reconsider that it was an act of passion.

That’s an interesting theory.
However, from reading the story, it is clear that the murderer was gay or had some extremely odd habits that would indicate that he might be gay.
As for the murder itself, Vallum did not say that he killed in self-defense or that he killed because he was fooled by the man pretending to be a woman. He said that he killed because he feared what his fellow gang members may do to him.
You cannot attribute fear of the actions of a third party as your reason for self-defense.
Vellum is a murderer and he will be in prison for the rest of his life.

Was Vallum blacked out when he started making out with that dude?
