I was sitting around after a huge Christmas feast last night for Christmas, worrying I should hit the gym, and I saw a pic of Chris Pratt, the actor from Jurassic World and Guardians of the Galaxy as a huge tubby. It really gives the motivation to take care of yourself. What a dramatic change.

I never knew this about him. I never knew he was tubby. Good for him. Let's all go work out. Of course, working for Disney, I'm sure he's provided with a chef and a workout trainer, but still, it just goes to show that anybody looks better when they work out and watch how much they eat.

Two things; swimming and bicycling.

That’s not tubby nor fat at all.

He’s skinny without muscle.

Now he’s skinny with muscle.

He might have been pushing 200 lbs. But no way was he anywhere near 300.

One of the websites, discussing GotG 2, said that in the first film he was given a goal of losing 30 pounds, and he showed up 40 pounds slimmer.

I know we criticize actors and actresses a lot, but what some of them go through to do their parts really is amazing. I recall Christian Bale in the movie “The Fighter” and honestly, I didn’t recognize him for about 10 minutes, he had lost that much weight.

I still don’t think Matt McConaghey has really recovered from his weight loss in the AIDs movie.

I never saw Chris Pratt until Jurassic World and Guardians of the Galaxy, so this is the first I heard.

Some are saying that Disney pushed Carrie Fisher to lose weight and it may have caused her current problems, I mean other than the years of drug abuse.

Yes, Drudge had a link on that, but I doubt it. She not only had the drug use but also years of plastic surgery-—which is not healthy. God knows what kinds of medications she was on just in a “normal” day.

"He might have been pushing 200 lbs. But no way was he anywhere near 300."

I gotta agree with you. Four years ago, I was just over 300lbs, and I looked MUCH beefier -- make that FATTER! -- than Pratt's 'before' picture. If his claim is accurate, that's the trimmest 300-pounder I ever saw!

P.S. I lost 120lbs with Weight Watchers and look a heckuva lot better now...

Unless he’s really tall no way was he 300 lbs. It easy to get into shape when you have a personal trainer and nothing else do all day besides eat the right food and go to the gym.
Good for him though. He’s a pretty likable actor, hope he gets better movies than Jurassic World which was awful

I fluctuate based upon my motovation or lack thereof. Im 46 so still relatively young and active. A year ago i was at my commissioning weight of 175, today I’m again over 200, time to get in shape again. Exercise really is a great outlet. Gives you a release from stress, a daily purpose and motivation and of course the added benefit of looking better.

That’s kinda how I looked when I was 215. He’s probably a bit taller than me so add a few pounds, but no way that’s 300.

According to Bing he is 6’2”, which is what I am, and when my belly is about the size of his “before” pic, I am usually clocking in around 225.

Never heard of him.

That’s not 300. He may have said it was 300 to claim he lost more than he did. All he did was buff up and add a sock.

I think it has to do with how tall you are. I’ve seen NFL linemen who were 320 and they was hardly an ounce of fat on the. But they were 6’4”. One the other hand, I am 255, four inches shorter and no muscle.

We could be twins.

Well I am 6’3” and at my heaviest weighed 235 and looked no where near as chunky as Pratt in that pic and he is 6’2”

Walk your dog more often and for at least 30 minutes at a good pace to get your heart rate up. Do it twice it a day if you really want to do yourself some good.

He was chubby. Thats where he came from as a comedian. Once he got noticed in Parks and Recreation and was offered big roles he worked himself into buffness. His wife wants him back to chubby.
