In FL it is specifically against the law to carry in even the unsecured areas of an airport. So law abiding people were armed period.

But the real world exception here in FL is that if you are checking a weapon in for your checked baggage (weapon must be declared) on an outbound flight, or picking it up at baggage claim from an inbound flight and departing, you can transit in and out of the terminal with it, as long as it is the “two lock box.”
