Most people aren't aware that vaccine injury cases, thanks to a special carve-out by congress, aren't tried in court but rather the Office of Special Masters of the U.S. Court of Federal Claims. These bureaucrats administer a no-fault system for litigating vaccine injury claims. And good luck to any parents trying to get an attorney to represent them.
That’s the issue, getting an attorney who would be able to handle the case
Two things I’ll say and then I’m going to keep my peace.
1: I’m autistic. It really pisses me off that people think that my situation is SO bad that a horrible gruesome death by polio or smallpox or even the flu is somehow worse.
2: My uncle—my mother’s brother—caught the flu, or something akin to it, when he was a child. And it was BAD. Bad enough that his brain was damaged and that he’s been mentally disabled for his entire life since then.
Getting vaccinated would have stopped that and allowed him to live a normal life.
So you’ll forgive me if I’m a little combative on the topic.
