DONALD TRUMP BAILED OUT SON’S FAILING COMPANY, STICKING BURDEN FOR POLLUTION CLEANUP ON TAXPAYERS

President-Elect Donald Trump bought his son’s failed company, foreclosed on the property, and now South Carolina taxpayers are left to clean up the mess he left behind. President-Elect Trump won South Carolina by a little more than 14 points.

In early 2014, a company in Charleston, South Carolina was promising to “revolutionize” home construction, by manufacturing and selling “home construction kits.” First it was called Titan Atlas Manufacturing, later being in reorganized into Titan Atlas Global before shutting down for good in the spring of 2015. Part of this doomed venture was none other than Donald Trump, Jr., who faced millions in debt.

“In addition to Donald Trump Jr., Titan Atlas’ founding investors were Washington state farmer Lee Eickmeyer and Mount Pleasant resident Jeremy Blackburn, who was also CEO of Titan Atlas Global. Each of the three men personally guaranteed a $3.65 million Titan Atlas Manufacturing loan from Deutsche Bank — the loan that the elder Trump’s company later purchased — allowing the bank to pursue the three men together or individually if it were not repaid,” according to a January 2016 report from The Post and Courier. Eickmeyer also personally loaned the company just under $1 million.

Sounds like they bought an old site. I doubt they caused the pollution that needs to be cleaned up.
*************
YUP , building kit homes just like Sears did 100 years ago... I can see sawdust , plastic scrap , huge CNC machines ,, robotic welders if they’re building with steel... I just can’t imagine what they would be using that was toxic ,, even if it was liquid foam for insulation..

It appears as if they leased the site as the “owners” are complaining about equipment they own and apparently left behind being damaged by an unrepaired leaky roof. I don’t see how they’re liable for any cleanup.

Taxpayers are among the most likely losers in the deal, because the company’s unpaid state and federal taxes and other government payments totaling more than $96,000 can be recouped only if the winning foreclosure bid is high enough to cover nearly $5 million in secured debts that are first in line.

Easy Trump PR: Pay the taxes out of pocket. It's change he can find in his pants.

So taxpayers “ may” lose $96k in uncollected taxes
That is not earthshaking nor is it an intentional ripoff like all those green energy startups by obama donors that raked in direct grants of hundreds of millions!

It’s the private investors who have millions in the deal
And the deal is still being worked on with resale of the property
Of course MadCow is always looking for angles to punish Daddy ..... Err, Donald Trump

homobama could slaughter orphans on the White House front lawn, and the media wouldn't report it.

The media could report that Trump slaughters orphans on the White house front lawn, I wouldn't believe it.

The media has such a track record of not bothering to mention wolves when there are wolves, and crying wolf when there is none that it has no credibility. None. If they say it's sunny, grab an umbrella.

MSNBC stuck taxpayers with a burden of a bail out. They forget to report this?

When we listen to our news on the alphabet news, keep in mind the news is being read by girly boys. They’re probably married to alpha females. Nobama is married to one. Look how he hides behind her while watching a martial
art’s game.

The commercial leases I recall dumped nearly all of the building costs on the lessee. The landowner or his agent managed the common areas like the parking lot and landscaping and invoiced the tenants for the cost. If something happened to the building that wasn’t structural or otherwise required a code variance, it was the tenant’s problem.

Roof collapsed: owner
Roof leaked: tenant
