There is a lady at church, retired teacher, precious snowflake on FB. She critiqued our priest for advising the daughter at her mother’s funeral, that since she is living a lesbian lifestyle she cannot receive Communion. Some busybody ran to the priest with that tidbit and he advised her ahead of time in private. She was furious for the woman and thought it unfair. The woman came back to mass on the weekend and did attend Communion, though she didn’t at the funeral. RME Why? Why, when you do not believe do you need to mock those who do? Why would you want them to. There is no good ending to any of this.

My Sister-in-Law is in the hospital ICU with DKA (diabetic ketoacidosis). Second time in recent months. Scares me. She is Type2 as I am. My daughter told me that she doesn’t take as much care with hers as I do. She told me herself that she eats whatever she wants. I am struggling, but not blatantly eating whatever. Scary. She is the one who’s husband died of Prostate Cancer last year. With the broken pelvic bone, she has been in the hospital three times since he died. She is barely 60. Every time her daughter comes from California for a visit, someone goes into the hospital. It’s keeping me nervous about my own issues.
I believe we are entering an historic heresy on the Pope’s part. God will intervene soon. He will not tolerate it for long. Probably, longer than I would like, but He will save His church. When I can follow Catholic priests on twitter that are openly hostile to the Pope, it’s End Times for sure.
whoa! that’s terrible. hey enough stuff can go wrong even if you keep up with caring for yourself, it’s nonsensical to take a chance with your health.
I am dying to know what Fr DeCelles thinks but there is nothing about it in his homilies or his columns. I’m sure he feels he can’t be openly against the Pope, but he may need to speak out eventually.
I had eaten far too many carbs over the holidays. I feel so much better now that I am back on track. It makes an unbelievable difference.
I hope your SIL recovers quickly, and adopts your good sense about nutrition...
You are obviously not someone who pays no attention to what they eat like that. I don’t understand anyone-diabetic or not-who just eats whatever they want, never mind what the ingredients are, how many calories and carbs, how much sugar, corn syrup, etc, and whether it is REAL food with nutrients or just empty calories. There is a reason why so many people are overweight-and it certainly isn’t because they care a damn about what they eat-processed foods are full of crap that really doesn’t need to be ingested by humans...
The parish priest out here has no problem saying he thinks the pope is perverting God’s word-he stops just short of saying “heresy”-but he doesn’t do anything like that on social media-just at and after mass...
I’m more convinced every day that this pope is apostate...

My daughter spent the day with her cousin and they were to visit her at the hospital. Hoping she is out of ICU, but haven’t gotten an update yet.
