I have watched some of his videos, he is definitely not a mainstream conservative, probably more of a libertarian now. An honest liberal who has changed his views. Thats how I started.

Years ago, I lived in a townhouse community in Arizona. At a community pot-luck around the common area pool one year, I was making small talk with a neighbor, when she proclaimed that she was no longer a liberal but a progressive. She was so proud of herself for being more "enlightened" than those old liberals.
I spontaneously sprayed the Diet Pepsi I was drinking all over her when she said that. It was so funny I couldn't help myself. I told her the only difference between a liberal and a progressive, was the spelling.
Fortunately, she never spoke to me again. One more liberal eliminated from my life. Life is good.
That’s how I see it, though I am glad to hear someone, anyone, from the left explaining how progressivism is actually regressive, and truly more authoritarian than anything the right puts out.

Dave goes back and forth with protesters during his entire speech to students at the University of New Hampshire. Due to security threats the University moved the venue from a 300 seat room to a 7500 seat hockey rink - without informing all of the attendees.
