This is the technical name for a caveman, or one who lives in a cave. The term also covers anyone living in seclusion or in a primitive state, like a hermit.

Trogle is Greek for "hole" and dyein, is Greek for "get into." The ancient Greeks gave the name "troglodytes" to uncivilized races who dwelt in holes in the ground or caves.

I went to a movie in about 1970 called Trog. It scared the life out of me for years. It was a double feature with Dracula, but Trog just did me in.

Just looked this movie up & it has the most awesome Sid Haig in it. Loved him in “The Devil’s Rejects,” which has one of the greatest endings ever. Must check out this movie.
