It's absolutely astonishing to me how many people here are putting some kind of mystical supernatural power into a parlor game. Something I'd expect from my wife's ancestors (they were chasing witches in Mass way back when), but not in the 21st century.

I suppose a deck of Tarot cards would give them the vapors.

Totally agree. The world must be a frightening place for them. Spirits live inside wood. Mary in a tortilla, and demons floating around out there waiting for a friendly Ouija board to invite them in, etc.

My careful experience with a Ouija board convinced me that they are not a mere parlor game. Oh, the board itself is totally inert; however, the INTENT to commune with spirits can lead to such communications actually taking place. The problem is that those spirits know somewhat what they are doing whereas you don't have a clue. You do not have the advantage nor understand the powers in play.

Life after death exists, and so does a very complex world of the Spirit.
