When did we get to the point where we’re asking cops to perform an in-depth mental health analysis while facing a deadly force threat and use that as the basis for responding to the deadly force threat?
The first word in the headline is “Black” for a reason. Because they want us to think the cop shot him because he was Black.
They hope we don’t notice that he tried to run over a cop.

Yea I know, now we have this and it’s better? Plus like someone here ask was he a vet? Don’t know but do know a lot of vets out there are mentally ill and can’t get help. That is just so wrong.
Some folks around here seem willing to excuse any misconduct if it was committed by a vet. Perhaps vets should be psychologically tested before they are released back into society. Let's deal with PTSD closer to the source.

Not sure they are willing to “excuse” it just blaming the government for not getting them the help they need. PTSD sometimes takes a while to boil to the surface. We all know the VA hospitals suck, plus until Trump came in and ejected the illegals we know where all the benefits were going to.

Bingo- We watch the cop show- and it’s amazing how aggressive black people get when cops confront them- They feel they have the right to scream at the police, acting aggressively, and tell the police what to do and not do-

I had a friend beaten mercilessly when he was acute low blood sugar from diabetes and made it to the ER where the nurse tried to help him
He was out of it in the waiting room
Some cops were there and attacked him to subdue him
Problem was he was a major scrapper and had fought MMA and was a 5th SFG operative in the post 9-11 years
Hence he got the best of four cops including almost pulling the eyeball of one out of the socket
One tried to shoot him in the ER waiting room in front of everybody but docs and other personnel jumped in
He got charged felony assault on cops but got treated in the meantime
I bailed him out.....25,000 property bond....jailers were threatening him....that one cops eye was hurt...and some others were banged up and embarrassed that one 44 year old diabetic whipped their strapped asses
About two weeks later he walked out of his trailer where he lived in the woods north of Nashville and a half dozen plain clothes cops were waiting and tazed him
They beat him down really hard....about 40-50 head stitches and broke ribs and busted windows in his truck....and took his all his Bushmaster ammo
But they didn’t kill his pit bull...they gave it a burger and put it in a cage....to their credit
He called state cops and reported his injuries and told his criminal lawyer I’d gotten for him
All his original charges were dropped and his medical bills paid and his truck repaired free
I told him he got lucky...they might have shot him and dropped a weapon on site
I told him he should move away for a while....and he did.
Freepers here don’t know cops to be honest
Some are ok
Some are great
Some are dicks with a chip on their shoulders
I got pulled over by a beautiful Indiana girl cop tonight near South Bend on 31
She gave me a warning and we yukked it up over deer hunting
I liked her....half my age..lol
diabetes is nothing to mess with, have a feeling the cops thought he was just drunk.
have noticed one thing, it takes a while but bad cops always get theirs in the end.
