FULL TITLE: Black father livestreams the moment he was KILLED by cops: Tennessee man records his own fatal shooting on Facebook Live during traffic stop confrontation
A Tennessee man livestreamed his own fatal shooting by a police officer on Facebook during a traffic stop on Thursday as his fiancee watched helplessly.
Rodney James Hess, 36, was acting erratically and had attempted to hit cops with his car 'at least twice' before he was killed at around 2:15pm, the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation told NBC News.
In the video streamed on Facebook Live from a roadside in Alamo, Tennessee, Hess can be heard saying he wants to speak to 'the higher commands' before leaving his car.
He then appears to make some kind of movement and is shot several times through his windshield.

Actually trying to run cops down with your car will pretty much get you shot every time.

He was pulled over at the time, just speaking erratically.
If it’s on Facebook, can we “like” his video?
Have they blamed Trump yet?
Seems more and more our population has a MUCH higher rate of mental illness than is being reported.
That liberals own close to 50% of the votes is good proof to start with.
“
I’ll buy the Suicide by Cop theory but judging by his actions it was more unwilling. Dude was off his meds or they just were not working. He kept asking to “to speak to ‘the higher command’” In college we used to mess with drunk class mates and say “take me to your leader” over and over, they would just stare at us. Never imagined mentally ill people actually said stuff like that.

Very much so and in the black community it’s very high. For those of you who listen to Tommy Sotomayor on youtube he talks about it all the time. Men and women in the black community suffer from it and many times it’s NOT treated nor addressed.
Could the cops have known this? Don’t know. Can they tell the difference between someone who’s on drugs and really mentally ill is what I want to know.
I grew up near where this happened and know lots of people there. I both heard and read about this yesterday, but the version I heard was a little different than this story. I’m not drawing any conclusions yet.
General comment: more blacks would be alive today if they hadn’t been conditioned by their own people to adopt an immediate aggressive and hostile response to law enforcement.
Tommy Sotomayor sometimes gives a glimpse into the dynamic that may give rise to this.
It’s heartbreaking, and troubling.
Guess that’s a reason for cops to shoot and kill a man theses days.

How about if you agree to the same fate as any cop who tries to play mind reader in the future and guesses wrong?
But cops typically aren't out there shooting mentally ill people, as millions (?) of them go unshot every year. No, it's murderers and attempted murderers who are getting shot. Even a bank robber won't necessarily get shot, unless he does something that poses a danger to an innocent.
If he has a mental illness that causes him to act that erratically, why does he have a license to drive?

Not sure what the laws are with regard to mental illness.
But he worked construction jobs so apparently if he was
taking his meds he was capable of working.
White people do this too. The man sounds like a decent fellow who was dealing with mental illness. The man deserves our sympathy and his family deserves our prayers. His death is indeed a tragedy, but the police did what they had to do. The police also deserve our prayers. They’re the ones who have to deal with problems like this. We shouldn’t judge them harshly for doing the job we need them to do.
I hear that in Europe, the mentally ill get carried away and start shouting Allah Snackbar as they run over people.
Suicide by cop
He pulled himself over and was hindering traffic to attract police
This tape is inconclusive.
