I was a big All My Children fan. In 1997 we went to Italy ,with some friends, and stayed at The Vila D’Este in Lake Como. When we were checking in, I told my friend that I thought I knew this woman who was in the lobby. She was heavily made up and had a wild mane of red hair. Actually, she looked like a hooker. It turns out she was an actress from the soap Bold and the Beautiful. The entire cast was filming at the hotel.
Naturally, when we got home I had to watch as I had never seen the show. It didn’t take me long to get hooked.
We watched General Hospital at college during beginning of the Luke and Laura relationship. There were a number of interesting characters on the show at the time - Luke Spencer, his sister Bobbie who was a good villainess, and Tristan Rogers and Emma Samms playing Robert Scorpio and his wife Holly.
Was that the late Darlene Conley (Sally Spectra) you spotted ?
It sure was. John McCook was in the room next to ours. He was the only one whose name I knew, at the time.
I had Quentin nightmares at 10
David Selby is a charming man in person. Enjoyed seeing him in his small part on legion. Don’t know if their could be a more fan friendly cast.
He played in a lot of early TV shows and some pretty good movies.
WWII Marine combat pilot. That would rule out a career in todays Hollywood.
Legion—there. I’ll blame the phone.
Heh, sounds like you had a fun time. ;-)
Many years ago, I watched the soaps a little bit (not all of
them). Then when “Days of our Lives” came on one day with
that “Like sands through the hourglass, so are the DAYS OF
OUR LIVES”; I turned the tv off and said, “Buddy you are
RIGHT!” - and have never watched the soaps after that.
General Hospital. Isn’t that the one Near CSU?
