I doubt that’s what they were barbequeing.
I love BBQ pork.
We used to eat at a place in Dothan which did it right. You could see it cooking/being smoked, right in the restaurant. They did not put anything on it but had a large selection at each table.
I have heard that it has gone down since. That was back in the 70s.
Hahaha! Yeah, that’s one thing they have in common.
F’n NYT
Lamb kebabs from a middle eastern restaurant are tasty
Really? The Jewish groceries I know sell packaged ham/bacon but will not slice ham or bacon on the premises.
I hope they eat in front of them too!
30 pound pork butt on a big green egg done for about 10 hours at 220 degrees.
Use a little oak,
A little mesquite,
A little cherry wood.
And some red, yellow and green peppers.
And Dorie’s egg bunns.
Lots of onions and some Buffalo Trace amd they will beg for a taste
Hunger strike my ass
Best BBQ in the world is East Carolina BBQ...Vinegar based with red pepper....
I really don’t know what they are using...I just said that because Muslims are deathly afraid of pork...LOL
I used to eat at a place in Norfolk with a fellow employee.
It was good but not great. He claimed to serve East Carolina BBQ.
My best friend is from Wilson N.C. He has not been back for many years but his Daughter recently stopped by his favorite BBQ place and bought a bunch for him. He stored it in his fridge.
He gave me the name of the place and I don’t remember but he did say they would only accept cash. No cards, no checks, nothing but cash.
Most famous place in Wilson is Parker’s BBQ...
Probably second is Bill Ellis’ BBQ....
BWAHAHAHAHA
A good brisket would sure get my attention
My wife is from Wilson, NC....
That does sound familiar. I think it was Parker’s. I have known the guy since 1970. He was always a big BBQ fan.
My wife said people used to drive from way up north just to buy the BBQ and take it home...
It’s on the route traveled from up north to Florida before the interstates....
I prefer Virginia style. N. C. style good, but a little too sour for my taste, S. C. mustard based sauce is also intersting. In truth, I haven’t met a style that I don’t love.
“... In truth, I havent met a style that I dont love...”

Well, I’ll go along with that 100%>>>:^)
dude- the food may be tasty- but do stay away from middle eastern food courts- there was an article on here not long ago about the filthy bathroom habits of muslims that was so gross i don’t even wish to repeat it- One owner was arrested for it too- let’s just say many of them eschew toilet paper-
Run by Christian Lebanese, a place I went to was clean
