What I was saying is that the report that the employee was trying to pick a fight with the passenger is flatly wrong. I am reserving judgement on what happened before. My best guess is the employee accidently hit the woman with a stroller and it came close to hitting the baby while he was taking it off the plane. Not sure how negligent he was but it seems the passenger judged he was bery negligent.
I submit that the appropriate response of the man in uniform representing his company should be something in the line of “Sir, that was an unfortunate accident, I am sorry for the distress I caused her, her children and the passengers, now please sit down as we prepare the plane for take off. If that didn’t diffuse the situation and the male passenger did not resume his seat, then the male passenger should have been booted off the flight.
I understand the pilots response, both guys were displaying school ground behavior at some level. I bet the pilot read the FA the riot act in private. It truly is the FA’s job to defuse situations, not ramp them up.
