Basically the school would not control bullying so the parents of the kids who were bullied came down to the school to take care of the situation. They beat up the bullies.

Now the parents of the bullies are angry. Oh well.

OTOH, I was just discussing this very topic with a friend, the concept of bullying and how to deal with them.

Sadly, while part of me says that there’s better ways of dealing with things than fighting, the reality is, the more we have tried to suppress *violence*, the appropriate response to bullies, the worse the situation has become.

If kids were allowed to beat the snot out of bullies, like they were in our day, these situations would be resolved and we wouldn’t see the kind of escalation of lawlessness and violence that we are seeing today.
