On your list. Stay focused. The Lord opens doors, windows, walls and the sky. Start doing what you love. The rest will follow.
Phoenix VA? That place needs help.
Put me in the win. Put me in the battle.

Lord Willin’
Laz,
Throughout the eighties and half of the nineties, I worked as a lead purchaser for a large construction company. The money was good and the work was stable. The hours were long, but life was good.
I got married in 1995, and baby number one came a year and a half later. Ten months later, right after we’d bought our first house, the company decided to outsource my whole division.
At that point, I realized there was no such thing as job security, so I chose to take the risk and start my own business. The first couple of years were kinda scary, but we kept plugging and made it work.
That was twenty years ago, and we’re still going strong.
Fact is, the only security there is, is in oneself. If you can get up every day and put the pedal to the metal, you can be your own man.
It may be time to consider it, bro.
+1
I couldn’t agree more!
Real sorry to hear that, bro.
Brother, forget the list, take care of you!
You may be right. THREE layoffs in ONE year?
You know what they say in war: If it happens once, it’s a oddball occurance. If it happens twice, it’s a coincidence. If it happens three times, it’s enemy action.
I wish you all the best Laz and thank you for the ongoing list.
Consulting others, Laz!
Day after the house burned down I got an extension cord from the neighbors and vowed to double my production while the house was rebuilt over the next four years.(its the Keys everything happens real slow down here) Today it's doing well and we are expanding,it's never straight up.
Bottom line you remain the best of the best. It will happen for you. Those of us who work hard can’t be beat.
I am so sorry for your layoff. I am praying things look up for you.
Thank you for all that you do here......
Great men have always done so, and confided themselves childlike to the genius of their age, betraying their perception that the absolutely trustworthy was seated at their heart, working through their hands, predominating in all their being.
And we are now men, and must accept in the highest mind the same transcendent destiny; and not minors and invalids in a protected corner, not cowards fleeing before a revolution, but guides, redeemers, and benefactors, obeying the Almighty effort, and advancing on Chaos and the Dark.
Self-Reliance
Added.
Gave some thought to your idea.... I don’t wanna gamble, though, on money I don’t have. Plus, it’s California. Any guns I own in Georgia would get me prison terms in that state.
Thanks for the idea and all you do!
May God bless you with a good-paying private sector job utilizing all of the talents that He gave you.
I’m on a Federal contract that’s up for renewal next year, so depending on the 2018 budget, I could get cut, too. I will be scared, of course, but other than that, I won’t mind, because the current Federal course is unsustainable.
One of the greatest dividends of self-reliance is that of personal freedom. Liberating oneself from the controlling yoke of 9 to 5 employment can be both frightening and exhilarating.
Tasting that sort of freedom was almost intoxicating for me, in the beginning, but I soon grew accustomed to being my own boss. It's a fundamental state of independence that, if achieved, enhances every other area of a person's life.
