Wow. You could buy an awful lot of heroin with that kind of money.

I would not pay 10 cents to buy that to use as a backdrop for an outdoor urinal. It’s ugly.
That is not art. Art is beautiful because it reflects the harmony of nature. This reflects the cynical scratchings of a talentless fool.

I was involved in that auction. I bid $12 for the painting, as it reminded my of an old girlfriend. You can well image my shock and disappointment when I lost to that Japanese fellow.

He paid $100 Million for that? It is terrible.
I continue to be amazed at prices paid for Art, especially Jackson Pollock’s.
I suppose this is Modern Art or something but it just doesn’t do much for me.

I expected ugly, since I heard it was “modern”, but that is far uglier and more amateurish than I expected.

Looks like something you would find on the side of a boxcar tagged by some ferro-equinologist “artist.”

Beautiful. Nice thing about it is, you could hang it on its side or upside down and it would still be a glorious addition to any room. Or lobby
Or junkyard

At some point money just becomes a meaningless number to some people.
That said, I’ve spent $600 on a knife...and I’d pitch that knife against that painting any day of the week...see who wins that one...

At least for $110M, they’ll be able to afford to patch the hole in the side of the subway car they cut it from.
