FULL TITLE: Horrifying moment cops 'surround innocent man who just crawled from a burning car and kick him in the HEAD'

Shocking video has emerged of New Jersey cops approaching a man as he crawls from a burning vehicle and proceeding to kick him in the head and neck.

The footage, filmed on Sunday in Jersey City, shows the victim engulfed in flames, dragged into the road and assaulted. And officials say that he was a bystander, not the fleeing suspect who crashed into him, nj.com reported.

'Our investigators have reviewed the video and we believe with certainty that this man is the bystander from West New York who suffered burns, not Leo Pinkston, the individual pursued by police,' Hudson County prosecutor Esther Suarez said.

Because when this story was first on the TV news it was portrayed as the cops arresting the perp (and no beat-down was shown/mentioned).

Talk about adding injury to insult.

Like the fella once said,
"Ain't that a kick in the head?"

Scary stuff.

Here in NJ many of these pursuits no longer take place because of the danger to bystanders. This story happened just east of me; to the west is Newark NJ, where this wouldn’t even have reached this point. After an innocent woman was killed in a crash during one of these pursuits, they put an end to them.

The movie “New Jersey Drive” years ago dealt with a rash of car thefts and chases in Newark (they had to film it in Brooklyn because Newark’s mayor didn’t want the bad publicity); at the end one of the perps is killed in the manner you describe (trying to escape when boxed in).

Go straight to #2. We taxpayers should not be on the hook for this - but the LEOS should face, complete personal liability for fines and jail time. Government immunity is a cancer.

A police union official said the video 'clearly shows' officers acting in the victim's interests.

'Taking swift action isn't always elegant, but this video clearly shows that the officers acted quickly to extinguish the flames, and pull this man out of harm's way,' said Carmine Disbrow, president of the Jersey City Police Officer's Benevolent Association.

So, are cops just more stupid now or were they even more corrupt before the videos?

The “Code of the Streets” is that if you flee, we beat you when we catch you. The reason being that otherwise every felon will always flee - what do they have to lose?

The cops obviously mistook this innocent person for the perp who endangered multiple other innocent people while fleeing from arrest.

Take any payouts from the police pension fund.

Your hypothesis is correct.

People who are unable to control their responses while angry or under duress should not be police officers.

Even if the man was the perp, what’s the point of kicking him?

Heard this morning the poor guy is burnt over 60% of his body. Usually people burnt that bad don’t make it.

Just like doctors have to carry malpractice insurance, police officers should be required to carry professional liability insurance as a condition of employment. Combine that with revocation of immunity and the bad cops will be uninsurable.

“I’m still shocked that these videos exist . . . because it means the one doing the filming preferred that to saving the life of their fellow human being.”

Saving the life of the burning man who was being attacked by the cops would have necessarily included opening fire on and killing each of the armed cops.

I don’t think most people in this country are ready to cross that line because unless you’re committed to an all-out overthrow of the government then you’re going to be executed for standing up to it.

For now the most appropriate revolutionary act is to get these attacks on video and publish despite the best efforts of law enforcement to suppress them.

This guy should live a very comfortable life at the expense of the taxpayers of NJ for the rest of his life. VERY COMFORTABLE.

What a stupid dick the cop is and the rest of the fools just jumped right in on the abuse of a VICTIM of the guy they were chasing.

Is it my imagination or are all of these incidents in blue states with high socialism?

New Jersey, New York, Massachusetts et al., all give new meaning to the phrase Police State.

Citizens are unarmed, the authorities are unchecked.
