We Bet You Can't Spot These Welsh Soldiers Hiding on the Battlefield

We put their camouflage skills to the test

\The Royal Welsh is one of the UK's finest infantry regiments.

Made up of highly trained soldiers, one of their many skills is to blend into their surroundings - usually by wearing camouflage clothing and paint.

The ability go unnoticed is vital to soldiers and can mean the difference between life and death.

But how effective is their camouflage?

We asked four soldiers from the battalion to show us how they would go about hiding in a battlefield situation.

They were instructed to hide but not completely conceal themselves.

Using their expertise, camouflage clothing and the odd stick or two the troops were happy to oblige.

Can you spot them hiding?

Take a look at our 360° pictures, to see if you can spot the soldiers.

Not to brag but yes, I did spot them in about 20 sec. They really need to break up their rounded helmet outline.

The first thing I thought of was Monty Python’s “How Not to be Seen.”

Judging by the thread, I think that was everybody’s first thought.

I saw them too. Are you by chance colorblind? I have read that colorblind people learn to spot hidden objects by their outline and not by the difference in color.

I found all but the guy on the far left (which should have been the easiest since he was in the opening scene).

Exactly. It was the helmets that make this little game so easy.
