Ate loads of rabbit on submarines
Oh My Goodness! You’ve reminded me that I’ve got a ‘pickled’ Brussels Sprout recipe to add to my upcoming ‘despised foods’ thread :-)
Thank You!
Are your G and D keys crosswired?
“If momma ain’t happy, ain’t nobody happy!”
It’s hard to find a good ‘mater these days unless it’s summer and you are on a back country road.
Your tag line is apropos for this thread!
Grab a frying pan. Fry up 6 slices of bacon until crisp. Place on paper towel on a dinner plate, pat off oil, Set aside.
Melt a tablespoon of butter into bacon fat in pan, Place brussel sprouts in pan with bacon grease and fry until seared brown and crispy. Once this is done add a product called "Very, Very Teriyaki" to the brussel sprout stir and allow the Teriyaki to cook down till thick and gooey. Crumble the bacon and add into the brussel sprouts mix in. Pull off heat and serve.
They're the best damn brussel sprouts you'll ever eat.... guaranteed!
That’s a hangover cure, I think...

Let’s call it a cure-all in honor of your dad.
Amen. We children were never forced to eat liver and we never went hungry because we disliked it. My S/O loves liver and will have it for dinner on occasion. I’ll have a sandwich, something other than. Sadly, not only is it not eaten, to smell it cooking tends to gag me. Minus liver, it’s iron pills or me. Easier to swallow.
I honor them both.
That works. Daddy was also a big drinker, And a gamblin’ man:-)
Sounds interesting. I’ll have to try that. One way I like them is when I have some leftover I dice them up and put in an omelet with some grated cheese. Great breakfast.
Neither the wine nor the kraut proved volatile. It only emitted fumes.
Thanks for the thread, I do think it is important.
When I was a kid I idolized him, as a teen I hated him, as an adult I miss him dearly.
I think that ‘Country Pate; is usually a kind of watered-down version, usually using chicken livers.
I’ve just got to find a recipe that’s milder than the ones I’ve tried.
Yes it does!
I have seen them both blow their stack LOL
My Mrs. is fond of a wager on occasion. Any chance she gets!
We both got laid off at the same time half a generation ago. There was a trade meeting in New Orleans so we thought we would go and mingle; enjoy the food, network... We spent the afternoon at Harrah's instead, enjoying each others company, and won a daughter nine month later!
All the boys I’ve dated have said that ‘fat’ is very good for hangovers - they usually go for greasy hamburgers, or fast Mexican food :-)
Thanks for the diversion from the BS and the path to what is important in our lives.
Gnight Dear
LOL! Congratulations! And what did you name her?
