Never set foot inside a Whole Foods. Not a fan of paying double or triple to price.

Whole Foods before the deal had a market cap of almost $11 billion.

Just wait until Amazon, Google, Microsoft, and the Demonicrat Party merge.

This is about real estate and not just food. I’m sure they’ll start selling Amazon branded electronics and whatnot in those “Whole Foods” stores. Amazon wants the Whole Paycheck customers most likely.

We are not the target demographic of this move. High income and net worth people are the target. Order online and get you organic soymilk delivered within minutes. This may be a blunder by Bezos. Whole Foods market share and pricing have been in decline.

I will shop at Whole Foods for certain luxury items that I don’t eat often — they have a great cheese and charcuterie department. But for every day stuff — meh, I go to Publix.

I mostly hate the people who shop there as sort of a political/social statement: the fat, pasty vegans, the crayola haired hipsters, and the smug soccer moms.

My hubby and I are two aging, right wing former punk rockers. We like to irritate the hip-lifestyle zombies on the times we go to stock up on the artery clogging stuff. “Hey, this cheese costs sixty bucks an ounce and smells like rancid socks... where are the organic soy crackers? It’s faaaaaaabulous!”

Whole Foods are typically located in upper income cities and also downtown urban locations. People in this wealth bracket have a higher propensity to order groceries on line. This is frickin genius. Very smart work by Amazon.

Until one of my locals got in on the action, WF was the best place to by bulk dry goods like lentils, whole grain corn meal and other things I like to use in cooking.

I have three places that are competitive on cheeses that are closer.

Other than some of the funky “drug store” products, I don’t find good reasons to go.

Always strange when a “new economy “ company gets involved in an “old economy “ business it’s trying to destroy

I go to Whole Foods for certain items that I’m not able to obtain elsewhere, like non-homogenized grass fed organic milk for my kiddos and pastured eggs. Their prices are ridiculous on some items and reasonable onnothers. They’re cheaper than some other stores in my area.

That being said, I don’t think this is a good move by WF.

Amazon could bring reality to Whole Foods unreal price structure and form a basis to really enter the consumer food market.

I seriously doubt Amazon is going to sell electronics and books in those brick and mortar stores. Amazon has been looking at ways to bring their Amazon Pantry and Amazon Grocery Delivery sites closer to the people.

The reason is simple: Whole Foods groceries will now be delivered to homes using Amazon Fresh from the Amazon web page. Watch for the possibility that Blue Apron or Plated gets acquired by Amazon, too.

Perfect setup for the Trump Administration to send a message . . . Jeff Bezos buys the Washington Post personally . . . time for the FTC to investigate this. And investigate, and investigate.

Oh, and order an environmental impact study for ten years.

How phony is the Left? The new robber barons are ALL on the Left . . . turn down some of these takeovers! And tie them in historically to the worst of the Robber Barons, like Jay Fiske.

I shop there for Coconut Milk yogurt and Japanese sake that either aren’t available at conventional stores or actually cheaper. The atmosphere and customer service are the pits although I doubt Amazon can do much about that.

Whole Foods is good meat. I may have to re-think enriching Bezos more.
