Full Title................Smug Bill Cosby waves and saunters into court as the jury asks judge 'what is reasonable doubt' and defense calls for a mistrial on the fifth day of deliberations.............

The jury at the Bill Cosby trial have once again heard Cosby's own testimony about how he stockpiled Quaaludes with the intention of giving them to women with whom he wanted to have sex but denied drugging them without their knowledge. The testimony was given to Constand’s lawyer Dolores Troiani in 2005 as part of the civil law suit and was unsealed in 2015 sparking a media firestorm and re-opening of the criminal case. They heard his admission to having given Quaaludes to Therese Serignese - who was in court alongside fellow accusers - after meeting her at the Hilton Hotel in Las Vegas. She claims that after taking the pills he sexually assaulted her. They heard that he had seven prescriptions for Quaaludes over two or three years in the seventies but had no intention of taking them himself. Asked, 'Was it in your mind that you were going to use these Quaaludes on young women that you wanted to have sex with, plural' he responded, 'Yes.'

She lied. Repeatedly.

“”In 2005, the district attorney himself put together a team of great detectives and their investigation revealed that Ms. Constand was untruthful time and time again,” McMonagle said.

Constand’s inconsistent statements to investigators started with her, at first, telling them she had only been alone with Cosby once, but later saying they had been alone numerous times, and gave two different dates for the incident.

He pointed out Constand told investigators that she and Cosby had set a romantic mood, sitting by the fire while burning incense and sipping cognac, and that they had previous romantic encounters, but those stories changed between her initial statements and her testimony.

“She doesn’t want those detectives to know about their relationship,” McMonagle said.

Constand also contacted an attorney who specializes in sexual-assault lawsuits before calling the police a year after the incident, McMonagle said.

Also, in the months after the incident, they had continued their phone calls, with her calling him 53 times, one of those calls lasting 49 minutes. Prosecutors had argued Constand returned Cosby’s calls because she was an employee at Temple, but McMonagle argued, “This isn’t talking to a trustee. This is talking to a lover.”

“If that doesn’t make you hesitate, I don’t know what will,” he added. “That’s why in 2005, they put this in the trashcan.””

You mean the sworn testimony of about forty women means nothing?

Trump was accused by at least 10! See what happens when you think you are right.....you end up wrong.

Cosby is yet another fake news meme created by the mainstream media who decides who’s innocent or guilty before the facts are known, only to be completely wrong when the real facts come forth. Trump, the UVA frathouse accused of gang rape, Michael Brown, Trevon Martin, all put forth good or bad, decided by a corrupt lying media.

No, I said the sworn testimony of forty women, not the accusation of forty women. You can’t tell the difference?

Cosby has already admitted to doing what he is accused of in the past.

Why is there even a trial? Haven’t we been taught to unconditionally believe female rape victims?

The jurors must be imbeciles. The preponderance of evidence should be reason enough for a person not to have doubts.

They probably are imbeciles, at least some of 'em. I have only been on local municipal court juries, but there's always some dumbasses in there. What I heard on one jury was "I don't think the prosecution proved his case". By "proved", they practically expected to have a filmed record of the crime so that there was no doubt whatsoever. I explained that "no trial is going to prove something 100%. That's why you are here. You are supposed to sift the evidence and make a decision. The prosecution isn't going to do it for you." I think too many jurors picked up a lot of this BS from the O.J. trial.

Those are two different standards. Preponderance of the Evidence vs. Beyond a Reasonable Doubt

Please admit your ignorance when being screened for jury duty.

No, I don't think he did admit to what he's being accused of. He did admit to "having sex on his mind when he bought his drugs" which is different from admitting to raping someone.

Back in my college days I had sex on my mind every time I offered to buy a drink for a cute girl... or even when asking one to dance. That in no way means that I ever intended to rape anyone... but I certainly had sex on my mind.

I don’t buy that. Cosby used to call out the black community for not being more accountable and responsible.
And a lot of blacks didn’t like him because he was educated (acting white) and got a long with whitey.

He may be playing the race card now but he didn’t throughout most of his career.

Pretty much. Any allegation of a sex offense effectively shifts the burden of proof to the defendant to say otherwise. That is not what the law says, but it is what plays out in real life. And once smeared, no one ever becomes completely clean again. A charge of murder is less pernicious.

I haven’t followed this closely as I’m not that interested. That said, as I recall none of this came out until Cosby was making some sharp criticisms of the Black community and calling for responsibility, at a time when Obama was touting just the opposite.

from Wikipedia:

In July 2015, court records from Andrea Constand’s 2005 civil lawsuit against Cosby were unsealed and released to the public. In his testimony, Cosby admitted to casual sex, involving use of Quaaludes, with a series of young women, including an admission that his use of drugs in the 1970s was illegal.

“casual sex”??? While using a pill that is a sedative, hypnotic? Back in your college days, did you try to deaden your sensibilities when after a cute girl? Cosby was out to deaden THEIR sensibilities.

Now for the purists here, why would Cosby be automatically believed, and fifty women would not?

I went to college in the 1970's, and at the time Quaaludes were a very popular recreational drug, especially with the girls. They relax you and give you a slight high... the gals loved them.

You would have to take several to get knocked out... taken one or two at a time was like having a good drink... a little buzz, relaxation, etc.

My girlfriend's roommate always had a stash of Quaalude's, Valiums and stuff like that. I tried them a couple of times, and frankly they did absolutely nothing for me... even with several beers on top of them.

Cosby's statements are absolutely in line with what the party scene was like back then, and in no way "proves" anything other than he was hip with the times.

Bingo. My remembrances of that time period as well. So when will we see trials of the big studio heads and producers who drugged and seduced child actors?

Cosby is not a perfect man, or maybe even a good man. He did stand up to the Left, however, and demand better behavior from the Black community, which put him on the Left’s sh!# list.

If you’re old enough, you may remember when he would sub for Johnny Carson.... all black guests, all black band.

After “I Spy”, his hard core racism is what impeded his career for a time until he stopped being so vocal.

Of the handfull of white adult males to appear on his 8 yr show, how many were NOT portrayed as either fools or heavies?

Claims that Republicans were racist for not agreeing with Zer0.

People I knew who worked at the Kaufman Astoria Studios had stories on end.

I haven’t followed the trial, but it doesn’t surprise me to learn that he is now using the race card. Jackals can’t change their spots.

I hope they throw him under the jail.
