If you've ever had an inexplicable love for a song that's just strange, post a link to it here. Should be amusing and entertaining for a Saturday night.

Is that the one that Lucy and Ethel did when they ripped each others’ dresses apart?

Evelyn a modified dog
viewed the quivering finge of a special doily
draped across the piano with some surprise

In a darkened room where the chairs dismayed
and the horrible curtain’s muffled the rain
she could hardly believe her eyes

I know it by heart. Sang it to my son at bed time for years.

In 1959, Lonnie Donegan recorded a slightly altered version of the Nsttle of New Orleans from the British point of view.

I worked in Southeast DC in 1979. By that time, the country-western scene was long gone, and the culture was dominated by staffers and bureaucrats, with “yuppie” tastes, from nearby Capitol Hill. A favorite place to eat was the Hawk ‘n’ Dove, an upscale burger joint popular with hawks as well as doves from the Hill. I think it’s still there.

Alive, Kicking Tighter,Tighter.

Brooklyn band late 60s. One hit wonder.

Occurred to me to look it up on Utube a coupe of years ago because the lyrics just popped into my head for some reason.

Does anybody recognize this song?

Let's not forget that pop sensation that swept Gilligan's Island back in 1965. I am talking about none other but The Mosquitoes.

I would have replied sooner but was distracted to listen to “In a Yugo”.

As an Adrian Belew fan I would first suggest that that song is not “Weird” unless you attach it to, and link the video that RegulatoryCountry has done.

What are you thinking?

1967 by Adrian Belew,

Let’s watch you play your guitar half out of tuned and still make it work. Intentionally.
