Venus Williams At Fault In Fatal Car Crash, Police Say

Tennis star Venus Williams caused a car crash earlier this month that led to the death of a passenger in another vehicle, according to a police report released Thursday.

Palm Beach Gardens police say witnesses told investigators that Williams ran a red light in her 2010 Toyota Sequoia SUV, causing a June 9 crash that injured 78-year-old Jerome Barson, who died two weeks later.

The report says a 2016 Hyundai Accent driven by Barson’s wife, Linda, crashed into the side of Williams’ SUV. Linda Barson told investigators that she was approaching the intersection when her light turned green and that she was unable to stop in time. Linda Barson suffered unspecified moderate injuries. Williams, who turned 37 on June 17, was not hurt.

She told investigators she had entered the six-lane intersection on a green light but had been forced to stop midpoint by traffic ahead of her. She said she did not see the Barsons’ car when she crossed into their lanes.

"...Williams car hit the other car in a T-bone fashion...."

So, you're saying William's car hit the other car in a me fashion?

Does he read cursive?

That was a horrible thing to say.

I blame Friday; I feel punchy.

Venus is a female - sort of - so should be she. Obviously your fingers are tired after spending the week on the keyboard. LOL.

Neighbor is a supervisor at our local Walgreen’s and she has had a really bad week with one of her employees. Told him to do stickers showing a 10% discount on all the Haribo gummi bears. Gave him paper with name and amount to discount and he asked if there was an app she could send it to so he could refer to it. She told him to look at the task sheet and leave his iPhone in his locker. Went back to check on him and found that he had had placed new stickers discounting a really strange amount on all the gummi bears. He apparently lost his task sheet. Every day it is something with him and so she termed him today. Apparently he can’t spell or calculate 10% of something. Tough out there.

If she beeped six times when she went through the red light it’s perfectly legal. (At least that’s what I have observed in some inner cities).
