After 28 hours, Delta's only answer for why it made Ann Coulter give up her seat is “I don’t know”

The wagons are circled. Expect every MSMBC outlet to flood the air with anti-Ann buzz words and news fill for at least 48 hours.

The order to move never came from a flight attendant.

Did I miss something. I thought Ann reported she was moved and the flight crew placed another individual in her seat.

Delta comes out looking bad in this. They might have refunded the amount of the seat upgrade, but what they are really saying is

Ann Coulter, We at Delta reserve the right to do this to you each and every time you get stuck flying our airline.

Ann made a decision to fly Delta and it might have all been about that one option to upgrade for more leg space.

I agree with one proposal I saw. Delta should offer free upgrades to first class to Ann. She is taking them to class on their classless customer service.

After a recent event where a customer was assaulted by a flight crew for not reining in their behavior, what else was Ann to do but to Kotow, and that word is not in her vocabulary.

“””Delta said that Coulter originally booked seat 15F, which is located by the window in an exit row. However, within 24 hours of the flight’s departure, she changed to seat 15D which is by the aisle.

“At the time of boarding, Delta inadvertently moved Coulter to 15A - a window seat - when working to accommodate several passengers with seating requests,” a Delta spokesperson said. “When there was some confusion with seating assignments during boarding, a flight attendant stepped in and asked that all of the passengers move to the seats noted on their respective tickets.”””

‘Delta inadvertently moved Coulter to 15A - a window seat - when working to accommodate several passengers with seating requests,’

What a bunch of corporate BS. So what was the seating requests by several passengers? Did they request to sit in Ann Coulter’s aisle seat in the exit row? Can anyone come up with a ‘seating request’ that would require the airline to remove a person from the seat designated on their ticket to another seat?

As a fairly frequent airline traveler I am finding the “old line” airlines are becoming nasty. The newer airlines like Jet Blue or Allegiant are usually more pleasant to fly with.

Have you ever read the fine print on a ticket? I haven’t but I can imagine it covers everything.

You're probably right. But Ann DOES have a very public voice, and if she decides to bring this up in some way or other every time she gets in front of a microphone, it may prove to be an embarrassment that Delta will want to avoid. I'm sure they could work out some accommodation.

The flight attendant was most likely just the messenger. I cannot see anyone who will be locked on a plane with someone go to such lengths to ensure a miserable flight by moving someone of Ann’s stature to a lesser seat especially when she was paid and confirmed.

I think Delta should not have disclosed Ann first reserved a window seat then changed to an aisle seat, seems private info to me..maybe she made a mistake or aisle seat was not previously available.

I have been asked to move to accommodate other passengers wishes, sometimes I did sometimes not. I favor an aisle seat for many reasons. The fact that Delta gives no reason for the moving is suspicious. Wish someone would talk to the person who took her seat..why doesn't Delta not make her name public or at least her statement? Will it take a court case and a subpoena?

where are the Delta meme’s?

I have also been ‘asked’ if I would move to another row. And I was willing to oblige unless a 400 pound sumo wrestler was going to be seated next to me.

The problem with Delta is that they apparently ‘told’ Ann C. she had to move.

EVERYBODY needs to resist that verbiage.

Just because something is in boilerplate doesn’t mean it should be adhered to. Otherwise, why can’t they just insert a sentence in page 223 or your mortgage saying they can take your house back anytime they want?

Nope, we need a nationwide revolt against the airlines- NO reseating, NO not letting you fly on the flight you booked without SEVERE penalties and a host of holy horrors to pound the crap out of these bastards. They are the enemy- they need to be whacked and whacked hard in print, on the web and in the courts.

If you sell someone a contract to do something at that time you should *HAVE* to fulfill it, period, no exceptions, no excuses and penalties expensive enough to make buying a few extra planes trivial.
