One Way To Punish Google's Advertisers

Posted on 08/11/2017 7:49:58 AM PDT by 13foxtrot

Just a quick thought.

What if everyone clicked on Google ads just to run up the bill for Google advertisers?

In the short term Google would make some money, but their advertisers would have to pay it for no benefit.

I wonder if enough angry people protest clicked their ads would advertisers leave or lower their ad bids?

If someone clicked through they could tell the advertisers that it was protest click.

I don’t use Goolag for search but websites I visit have Goolag ads.

So I regularly shop for bikinis and lingerie. It makes for a pleasant background when I visit those sites.

Hey, this is not complicated.

Just don't use Google at all. There are other options.

I've been using DogPile and Bing for years as my search engines. There are several other good ones that others might suggest.

Everybody's up in arms over Google. I'm not. Just kick your habit cold turkey.

The 4chan kids are way ahead of you. They have software that auto clicks each add umpteen times or more to make it obvious that Google’s data is crap.

Instead of punishing the advertisers, I chose to punish Google directly by changing my default search engine to Bing.

One can switch and troll the ads.

Maybe it would remind MS or DuckDuckGo to not get too PC.

A better way would be to drop chrome for something like brave and use another search engine like duck duck go instead of google.

That's been my answer to Google for years. I simply boycott them wherever I can.

Better and easier to simply change yur browser’s auto search to another search engine —and send a letter to Google and their advertisers. Or someone should get up a chain petition that would go automatically to advertisers.

I’ve already changed my browsers and don’t use Google or Chrome anymore.
