My kind of case (IF HE WAS REALLY FLEEING AND IN JUSTIFIABLE FEAR OF IS LIFE! If he was really trying to kill/maim people, I would not take the case)
Yes, he is a Nazi ahole, BUT ASSUMING HE WAS REALLY FLEEING AND IN FEAR OF HIS LIFE, I’d find one person on the jury that agrees that in America, even Nazis deserve to be safe and secure in their homes, their cars, their persons.
I’d put his parents and adult Nazis, who, when he was a kid, let him believe this Nazi BS, and the violent AntiFa people “on trial,” and I’d find that one juror I need!
.... and knowing what we know now, I would put the person who ordered the cops to leave “on trial” too.... big time!
Remember what the State will do. First they will “Try the crime, then they will try the criminal.”
State will spend days telling how bad the crime is, how the people who were hit suffered, sow the autopsy X-rays with all the broken bones. Then when they have jury thoroughly disgusted, they will offer the def as the person responsible.
The trick in a case like this is, never try to “defend the crime.” Agree that the injures were bad, the suffering more so. But then, lay the responsibility on the reap persons who are to blame, if in fact it was not the driver.
Put the jury into his car, with the AntiFa beating on it, telling him they wanted to kill him, using their spray can flamethrowers, etc.
IF TRUE, this is a winnable case.

I would want to know why any vehicles had access to streets filled with people. This whole mess was orchestrated for something ugly to happen... and this guy took the bait.

I wonder if the woman that was killed is the one at the end of the video that jumps on the back of the car and gets crushed between it and the pickup.
The media is only telling the story they wished it had happened.
The van runs into the crowd first and then Ks rear ended by the white car. Then the Challenger comes down the street, albeit too fast and rams the white car pushing it and the van further into the intersection. The Challenger is being pelted with stuff as it comes down the street. After it runs into the stopped white car people jump n the trunk with baseball bats and start to smash out the rear windows at which point be puts it in reverse and guns to get out of Dodge so to speak. I think this when the girl gets killed. The question is was she one of the people with the bats beating on the back of the Challenger? If so then she was, by her own stupidity, in the wrong place at the wrong time.
I don’t see any attempt by the driver of the Challenger to kill anybody intentionally. If that had been his intent he would have better served driving on the sidewalk. In fact based on the numerous videos I’ve watched all I see is a traffic accident that turned ugly fast due to the actions of some protesters with bb bats that got one of them killed. Not the story the media is pushing.
Mob behavior can get you killed. So many of these protesters want so badly to insert themselves in dangerous situations all to show solidarity with their cause. This woman got swept up in the moment, joined in, and died needlessly.
“Orchestrated” requires deliberate action with the intent to create a specific outcome. I don’t think the evidence supports that conclusion.
However the incompetence shown by the LE officials who ordered the LEOs to leave the area is highly negligent.

The overhead video clearly shows the van running down people ALL BY ITSELF.
Later, the white car shows up. Doesn’t appear to have hit the van until the Dodge pushes the white car into the van. It’s on video dude!
Because Antifa did not have a permit, the cops weren’t able to block off the access routes.
One thing that bothers me is the nbc drone video was cut. Edited.
It has been a common theme with these protests for some odd reason. They allow the protestors to take over the streets/highways but then do not close the area to traffic. I have been wondering before what the thinking is for allowing protestors to block traffic, that should never be allowed. When people are legitimately allowed to block the street for say a parade then the traffic is shut off.
What is odd here is the same groups have been allowed to block traffic all over the country in many jurisdictions. There have only been a couple of places that did not allow them to do it.
If authorities are making a decision to allow protestors to block traffic then they need to be responsible for not closing those areas to vehicle traffic or protecting those driving in the area. That isn’t happening either. Many people have had their cars vandalized in these situations.
It may have caught authorities off guard when they blocked traffic at Trump rallies, but you would think by now they would KNOW these groups are going to block traffic- yet it still seems they are allowed to do so.
I could see all along this would/will not end well. At some point drivers had to have fear of stopping when the protestors have proven to be violent time after time and authorities have done nothing to protect drivers or anyone else for that matter.
Do these people remember Reginald Denny?
I hope he gets a good attorney and pleads not guilty. Maybe he can raise some money and good conservatives can fight this false narrative.
The guy rear ended two Cars and killed a Woman just like Bruce Jenner did in Malibu. Just sayin’...
