BTW. I Hated That Bonnie & Clyde movie! It was CRAP!
PS: My good friend Joseph Hinton HATES it with a passion!
FYI
What especially infuriated me about "The Graduate" was a scene set at the University of California at Berkeley which was actually shot at the University of Southern California. Anyone familiar with the two schools would know that the Italian Renaissance--style buildings at USC are completely unlike the the classical revival buildings at Berkeley. It would be like going to Middlebury, Vt. to shoot a scene set in Santa Fe, NM.
Back then, PLAYBOY had an interview with D.W. Jones (the C.W.Moss character) who was the driver for B&C.
SEE! I did buy it for the articles! Just wish I could remember what all he said. Something about not wanting to be put in an Arkansas prison because he might be in one of those unmarked graves that were found about that time.
There is a version of that movie made somewhat recently, that makes Bonnie out to be the ringleader. And Clyde is just reluctantly following along.

I remember the ‘70s too; extremely well and every succeeding decade.
From the stories I’ve been told by people in the know I’m sure that is another load of crap.
Kind of like the actresses who look nothing like Hitlery Rotten Clinton who've been named to portray her in various projects.
You’re not alone .
***Little Big Man was an adaptation of a novel.***
Too many today take it as truth.
I’m thinking the author either was ignorant, talking about the big hollywood system, or talking about the mythical “peace and love” sixties.
Gore films began in the US in the early 1960s (Blood Feast, 2000 Maniacs, et al) and there were “adult only” films called roughies (often in gritty black and white) that had violent plots. Even some of the Mike Hammer films were sadistic (strongly implied if not graphic) in their violence.
Wild Bunch added some profanity to the mix but there were already other Hollywood films getting “edgier”.
Everyone was called James Bond in that film. It was part of a plot to confuse the enemy.
OK, just wondering. Hollywood doesn’t seem to care much about accuracy.
Do you get that dramas aren’t history books or documentaries?
You claimed it was merely for the bottom line. No drama in any medium has ever been 100% accurate. Ever.
The Greatest Crime Couple in the history of this republic, Bill and Hillaryous Rotten Criminal, make Bonnie and Clyde look mild by comparison.
Any more than “White Heat”? (1949)
I had no idea they were buried in Dallas. I grew up there and must have traveled past that graveyard on Harry Hines Blvd a thousand times.
