Did China Hack The 7Th Fleet?
Real Clear Defense ^ | Faiysir | Omaid

Today the USS McCain collided a merchant vessel, marking the 4th incident in the past year at the Navy. The timeline is as follows:

8/19/2016 — USS Louisiana 5/09/2017 — USS Lake Champlain 6/17/2017 — USS Fitzgerald 8/21/2017 — USS McCain These ships share similarities, they are all based in Yokosuka Naval Base, and the USS McCain & USS Fitzgerald are both part of Destroyer Squadron 15 and the Seventh Fleet.

While accidents and mistakes do happen, the number of collisions in the past year is extremely rare, and it is now within the realm of possibility that these accidents were not accidents. Both China and Russia have tested their cyber-warfare capabilities at sea with success.

Yes, Savage has been saying this for months and once again his Intel proves correct.

“his Intel “

What ‘intel’?

His claiming something without any proof is ‘intel’?

How about just good ole affirmative action BS in the Navy causing the incompetence we all knew it would?? There’s your ‘intel’ for ya.

This nation is becoming dumber by the minute. ‘intel’, my ass.

Tons of info on the web how hack GPS.

https://hackaday.com/tag/gps-spoofing/

The Military needs to use encrypted GPS signals to validate the data or go back to pre-gps navigation with look outs for other ships..

Not a chance; they will publicly twist in the wind until it is no longer in the nation's interest to keep the hack a secret.

GPS tells you where you are. It doesn’t tell you where the other ship is or where it is headed (about to run into you). Encrypted GPS doesn’t solve that problem.

I’m not inclined to conspiracy theories, but the random probability of this happening with this frequency is beyond astronomical, making it much more probable that we are in fact dealing with some type of adverse intervention.

This simply cannot be chalked up to gross malfeasance as they have tried to do with Fitzgerald. You cannot tell me there is this type of wholesale gross malfeasance Navy-wide.

A collision at sea, in and of itself, is a very rare occurrence. The frequency at which this has now occurred with US Naval ships is not a coincidence — regardless of what the public explanation may be.

So in these cases of US Navy collisions:

GPS failed on both the US ship and the other ship involved.

On board radar failed on the same.

Physical sighting failed on the same.

I just find it hard to believe that’s the case.

Evidently the Old Man was still in the fartsack at the time of the collision. No apology necessary.

Thanks for clarifying the reality!

The military GPS receiver has a feature to prevent Spoofing and jamming unlike the civilian GPS receivers.

That why I stated they need to have look outs. They also need to use their ship radar.

Here is a link about military GPS.

Even if everything else failed, aren’t there always supposed to be real humans in charge of navigation, not just depending on technology?

Hey knock off the reality! Using reality is not fair.

GPS tells you where you are. It doesn’t tell you where the other ship is or where it is headed (about to run into you). Encrypted GPS doesn’t solve that problem.

A good basic suggestion based on the PC reality of our armed forces, including our Navy!

They need to spend more time in Ops Training and less time in Diversity training .... Just sayin ...!!!

8 years of Obama...

You got promoted based on your Powerpoint presentations on diversity and sexual harassment instead of being able actually navigate.
