Who should we donate in support of Harvey?
Vanity | August 29, 2017 | Self

OK Freepers, what is the best charity to give to support Harvey?

The Red Cross? I have been hearing them panned since Vietnam.

What about the Salvation Army?

Hey, the Clinton Foundation did great work in Haiti, just ask Hillary.

What are your suggestions?

Where can we send money via credit card that gets to the people, not the overhead?

Could we donate Hillary? McCain? Bezos and Zuckerman?

I usually check charities out here before donating - https://www.charitynavigator.org/

“Who should we donate in support of Harvey?”

Liberals!

(And cantankerous mothers-in-law willing to ladle soup)

RIP to my mom-in-law, who was nice to me.

Sally is normally the first one on the scene. Basically “soup kitchens” until additional supplies arrive. As well as workers. Convoy of Hope in Springfield,MO had trucks pre-positioned. Not just food/water but shovels, picks, chain saws, etc.

Hillary keeps 95% of her donations. March of dimes keeps 90%. What are the charities that spend all they receive?

Samaritan’s Purse.

Or Hagee.

A church.

Or an animal shelter, directly.

Samaritan’s Purse, without a doubt in my mind. Here’s a link with a donate now button:

Heard today that Samaritan’s Purse (Franklin Graham) is pledging 100% of the aid money to get to the people.

Red Cross and Salvation Army cancelled their gala fundraisers at Mar-a-Largo for next year.

I sent a check to Franklin Graham’s Samaritan Purse.

Samaritan’s Purse, Franklin Graham’s ministry. They’re usually one of the first to respond.

I vote Convoy of Hope. We coordinated with them to bring help after Katrina and Rita. Good people.

How about Samaritan’s Purse
Rev. Franklin Graham

They have been great all over the world, especially here at home.

I’m sorry, don’t like to knock any charity, but the Red Cross CHARGES people for things.

Nazarene Compassionate Ministries: 100% for the Needs from Harvey.

Hurricaine Harvey

Samaritan's Purse is excellent. They were on the ground before this started and help with rebuilding.

Samaritan’s Purse ~ Franklin Graham’s organization. They do tremendous disaster relief. Had a massive response to Haiti. They help all over the world, especially here at home when things happen. Very little $$ go to administrative costs. High $$ go to relief efforts. They have many volunteers. Good organization.
