After 16 years in Florida, I have endured 2 New England Winters that have been alleged to have been “Mild”.
The shortening of the Daylight Hours, combined with the end of Daylight Savings Time, has been known to cause Depression and Anxiety in some people.
This is exacerbated by the cold, long nights, the cost of fuel, and the prospect of using a hairdryer with a long cord to thaw the locks on one’s car in order to (hopefully) get it started for the long, snowy commute.
Big Pharma could make a a fortune if they could invent a pill that would be a Seratonal Uptake Non-Inhibitor that would at LEAST create the illusion of an endless summer.
That would be a Serotinal Uptake Non-Inhibitor!
The abbreviation SUNI would cause Shiite Jihadists to commit murder. (Not that they require a cause.)

Well, I had hoped she would have a longer-lasting impact, but (unfortunately, we’ve heard too little of Sarahtonal’s clear, lucid voice the past 9 years.

I saw Tucker Carlson’s recent interview with Bill Nye, The (alleged) Science Guy. Tucker said he had an open mind on Climate Change. Nye kept insisting that it is “settled science.” So, Tucker asked him, since the science is settled, exactly what percentage of Climate Change is caused by man. “Is it 100% or 73.4% (I loved that he used a number that was accurate to tenths) or some other number?” Of course, Nye had no actual answer (to a question regarding “settled science”) so he did what all liberals always do—dodged the question, impugned the character and intelligence of the questioner, all of the usual tricks of the trade.
To an unbiased observer (if one still exists,) it sounded very much like the journalist was the science guy and the science guy was a charlatan. Or maybe I’m not unbiased.
While Congress was on their serotinal vacation

In a fit of serotinal ambition, I finally cleaned out my closet over Labor Day.
