A Florida teacher's request for students to use gender-neutral pronouns has left parents divided in opinion.
Math and science teacher Chloe Bressack, who teaches at Canopy Oaks Elementary in Tallahassee, Florida, sent the letter home to the 5th grade class at the beginning of the year.

The transgender issue in schools needn’t be discussed abstractly. In very rare instances when a young person causes a problem for other students (not that it’s the young person’s fault) then adults can find a solution to that particular problem.
No need to distract students from their studies by this media-hyped social issue that students can think about when they become adults and are fully responsible for how they spend their time.
so Mix Chloe is apparently a girl. Why does she look like a girl? If she’s so big on being gender neutral, why does she go out of her way to have a stereotypical girl’s appearance?????? Shouldn’t she look more, gender neutral???

Well said. In an era where too many kids don’t learn their “reading, writing, and arithmetic” as well as we would like to see, the last thing schools need to spend time on is this social engineering, and pandering to this transsexual business .

If my kid was in her class, I would definitely take her up on the offer to contact the administration.
The only reason this is happening is that the parents don’t stand up for their children! This pronoun crap is ridiculous. Unfortunately, I have a Socialist sister that teaches in a Community College system in a very Liberal state. Her address, at the bottom of her emails, lists ‘Pronouns: she, her, hers’. I guess she’s hasn’t succumbed to total political correctness yet. But we really cannot even have a normal conversation anymore. Ever.

50 years ago in school: You got caught with a piece of gum or candy. You were then asked if you brought enough for everybody to have some. If not, you had to forfeit yours to be “fair”.
No, this crap has been going on for a long time and there seems to be little we can do about it as long as leftism or communism is even remotely tolerated in society.

Binary Sexual Reproduction was created over billions of years by natural selection because the genetic exchange between Male (XY) and Female (XX) increases the fitness of species.
Are you prepared to argue the science FACTS in civil court in defense of your contradiction of Natural History and Natural Law ?

Emergency steps should be taken to have Ayn Rand’s short novel Anthem mandatory reading in every tax supported institution. Rand wrote the novel in 1938 about this very thing, along with the complete overthrow of science in a dsytopian society.
Same here. It all goes into the community pot. At the end of the year, teachers fill the school dumpsters with brand new school supplies. Yes, I've seen it with my own eyes and have gone diving myself. Next year rolls around and they're sending out long supply lists again. Then about week 3, they're whining they have to spend their own money because little Jose doesn't have safety scissors and glue. EXCUSE ME! What about everything they threw out last year and the year before and the year before and the year before and the year before? HUH? Explain that! Yes, agree it all starts with the parents. First, they don't bother asking about the school before moving into the neighborhood. Then, when some ridiculous rule is placed on their kids, they play along instead of putting a stop to it. Our kids went to a small town conservative Texas school so we didn't have many problems but there was usually one or two things each year I couldn't let ride. I subbed and volunteered for 13 years to see first hand what was going on. I was at all the kids' practices and games, etc. I was on the phone calling the principal, supt. and school board if there was a stupid new rule - don't tell the kids they can't wear football mums Thursday afternoon after they've already been purchased and don't tell them they can't dress up for Halloween the day before after their costumes have been purchased. Both of those things have been tradition since long before my school days. And you're out of your freakin' mind if you think my little 4th grader is going to be sent out to the field to pick up used condoms, needles and who knows what else. Mums, got on the phone with the two florists and informed them. Hey, small town and the florists count on the income Homecoming weekend. Got on the phone with Walmart and the party store which are the only two places, aside from two grocery stores, in the entire county that sells Halloween costumes. Moments later, the stupidity ended. Most times, all it takes is a well placed phone call to a board member, a business owner or the newspaper and poof! the problem goes away. Five minutes of a parent's time once or twice a year is a small price to pay for a decent school environment. Or run for a seat on the school board.
