Trump lauds ‘great anger’ after some booed Dallas Cowboys for taking a knee
washington post ^ | September 26, 2017 | John Wagner

President Trump resumed his sparring with the NFL early Tuesday, asserting there was the loudest booing he “had ever heard” when the entire Dallas Cowboys team dropped to its knees ahead of the national anthem at a game Monday night near Phoenix.

“Great anger,” the president said as part of his latest series of tweets on a national controversy over views on protest and patriotism that has raged since Trump's first blast late last week.

Those states have plenty of remaining infrastructure and are “states.” Only “states” get Constitutional protection that “states” get. “Territories” govern themselves, but have US residency, as well. They are run like a separate country.

You express yourself so unclearly that I don't quite understand your statement - but I suspect that you are wrong.

Your statement that "only 'states' get Constitutional protection that 'states' get" is, of course, a tautology, and hence pretty useless.

Territories do, of course, exercise a limited form of self-government - it is thus ridiculous to assert that they are "run like a separate country."

I don't understand what you mean by "territories [having] US residency." A territory cannot "have" residency.

Regards,

When are the teams going to learn that the “national” in “NFL” stands for “the nation of America”.

If they were serious about protesting let them rip off the insignia on their helmets or turn their jerseys inside out.

Then lets see what the owners and fans think of a team that dis-respects their town or state in protest of racism, fascism, hate-ism, or any other made up -ism that hurts their feelings.

What's really amazing is how much of televised football is just packaging.

ESPN televised a few High School football games and there really was not that much difference between them and the college and NFL teams.

I actually found the high school games to be more fun to watch due to the players enthusiasm and excitement. Watching kids playing a kids game is kind of cool and a lot more fun that watching a bunch of over tattooed thugs jerk off on the end zone.

Seriously, watch a high school football game televised with the same sophistication and announcer skills as an NFL game. You will be surprised at how well it compares to the pros of the NFL.

We need to pay more attention to the lower divisions of football.

Football is too great of a sport to be ruined by a bunch of overpaid, arrogant and entitled ghetto thugs.

BTW, the “brain damage” issue should also be investigated with an eye to checking out the effects of the massive drug and booze consumption of your average party hardy NFL player combined with the effects of steroids and other performance enhancing drugs.

Concussion is only one component of the brain damage in the NFL brain damage equation and it may not even be the major factor.

The issue is, what exactly are they kneeling about in the first place? This whole thing goes back to Ferguson and the whole “hands up, don’t shoot” fabrication. These people are propagandizing as many American people as they can into believing the narrative that cops are deliberately and indiscriminately shooting down innocent young black men all over the country, which is utter nonsense.

This weekend dramatically exposed the NFL’s support for BLM and to show they’re not going to stand for a flag that represented such injustice. Make it be known the NFL supports cop killers of BLM and the violent thugs of ANTIFA who are also connected to BLM.

This would be like the NFL in the 60s/70s supporting black panthers or weather underground or something like that.

The NFL is now supporting or in unity with two groups who are just as violent and radical.

Why?

All “citizens” of a US territory have US residency. I hope that clarifies was was meant.

With all but one of our US territories, only portions of our US Constitution apply to each.

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Unincorporated_territories_of_the_United_States

Only states get all the protection and expectations of our Federal government.

I’m always glad to teach the Constitution to others!

Gotta give the Cowboys SOME credit, they did not kneel during the Anthem. They did not salute it as they were supposed to either.

So why were they kneeling? They were kneeling to show unity about what?

Were they showing unity against the BLM member who massacred 5 Dallas cops? No, they aren't allowed to do that?

So what is it?

Me too. The tax-breaks and kickbacks have been quite eye-opening. I had no idea this was going on. I sort of knew about public funding for our stadium, but figured that was because the state and city also use the building for public events. Had no idea our stadium currently has something like a $35 million shortfall, which we the taxpayers are on the hook for. And you want to know why I didn’t know this? Because it was written up in our liberal rag of a newspaper, which I refuse to read. They were all butt-hurt about 2 years ago over tax breaks to team owners. But they’re real quiet about it all of a sudden.

That the radical liberals are stealing hard earned dollars from US Taxpayers, the NFL is only a small portion of this pie.

How much ‘entertainment’ is actually seen for each dollar. Especially when one includes such little piggies as
PBS
National Endowment of ARTS GRANTS
and the elite list goes on...

All in all, there’s certainly a feast to be had here at the expense of US citizens who, if they knew the truth, would cease to be fans.

This morning heard the President will be traveling to PR next Tuesday. The devastation in PR, lodging, roads, airports once in the country. How would one suggest he travel and once there, attempt to reassure citizens there.. No mass form of communication, no road on which to travel nor airport in which to land.

“Time for Trump to take a break and head down to Puerto Rico where real people have real problems”

indeed. it’s nearly impossible for a guy like Trump to take 20 seconds at 2:00am to knock out a tweet that drives the leftists insane and manage to do anything else for the rest of the week.

you’re confusing the fake Strum und Drang created by the enemedia with actual events in the actual world.

Those millionaires of color want to show how they are oppressed by the Forgotten Man. (Who may, or may not be, a person of color) They just plain hate the USA.

Wait until they find out what it is like to be the Forgotten NFL. Losers. The President was SO right.
