United Methodist Church bishop Dr. Karen Oliveto is not only a lesbian, she also believes (and publicly teaches) that Jesus was a bigot filled with prejudices. She does say that Jesus grew and changed, and that's her point. Bishop Oliveto admonishes, "If Jesus can change, if he can give up his bigotries and prejudices, if he can realize that he had made his life too small, and if, in this realization, he grew closer to others and closer to God, than so can we."

According to this lesbian, Jesus was a sinner. Jesus had to have been a sinner because otherwise she can’t rationalize her way via “religion” into lesbianism being a good thing rather than a sin. But, in her pinched and addled way, she’s undoing the entire basis of sin and redemption in making Jesus a sinner, so she might as well go on and be a wiccan and start eating her menstrual fluid for all the good it does her. Its evidently not necessary to be a Christian to be Methodist clergy.
