With double-digit drops in ticket sales and TV viewership, they should be worried.

But, they brought this latest fiasco on themselves, starting last year with the Kapernick (sp) knee-drop. They should have taken Deputy Barnie Fife’s warning: “Nip it in the bud, Andy. Nip it in the bud!”

I LOVED doing our yearly football pool. Won many times and it always subsidized the next year. This year, I dropped out given the disgusting idiocy witnessed on the field lately. I’m done. The weather is too gorgeous here in the valley to be inside anyways.

I don’t think they considered that fans like myself watched 4 or 5 games each week not just one so losing me is like losing 5 viewers.

The NFL might achieve the impossible. Make soccer popular.

It is already popular, you’re not paying attention.

The NFL was no longer entertaining before all of this happened. This was just a final nail.

They now claim all of this kneeing is not against the flag, but it is against President Trump.

Rush L played an audio of Kapernick (sp?) last year when he took the knee that his protest in his own words is AGAINST THE FLAG.

Too many of these players have allowed themselves to get caught up in these protests without actually finding out what they are protesting.

LEMMINGS.

With the TV industry switch to digital and providers being able to offer more viewing options, I typically will load a live video stream of a sports event onto my laptop or tablet, set the volume to MUTE, and basically watch it in the background as I watch a movie to TV program on the main TV.

I have a difficult time listening to the sports babblers, so MUTE works fine. If I glance at the laptop or tablet and see some gathering of players or refs, etc., I can quickly pause the TV event (TiVo is great for stopping a program and resuming it later), switch to my Picture-in-Picture, switch volume from TV event to sports event and hear what the ruckus is all about.

It's times like this that I think back to my school days. The majority of the big jocks in class were complete idiots -- as were most of the drama students.

You have to think of it as being lectured to by the high school jocks and drama class weirdos...

Regardless their so-called protest during the Anthem and Flag presentation is disrespecting both. They can attempt to change the narrative but it does not change the facts.

The BLM/NFL has started their downfall and I don’t see it stopping.

Yea, I used to turn on the crappy NFL games to find a break in the 24 hour news cycle. Now, its British detective mysteries on Netflix and Acorn. I’m just not into football any more.

That seems like a lot of work. My technique is to turn the TV on, set the two channels (assuming a double header), and then hit mute.

If the game looks interesting, I'll restore the volume, but inevitably they go immediately to commercial. In that case, I flip to the other game. They may or may not be playing; if it's another commercial, I hit mute.

If either game has a decent match up, I might flip back and forth for a little bit, waiting out the (muted) commercials. Eventually, however, I get bored/frustrated or even worse - have an out of body experience where I view myself as a retarded tool willingly exposing myself to their bullshit - and then get up and leave.

I may leave the muted game on in the background, but even afterward, if the game isn't close, I'll just turn off the TV altogether. I would venture to guess my experience is identical to other millions. This kind of indifference is the real "killer asteroid", not an active, emotion laden statement of boycott.

The NFL politicized the sport thanks to @sshole number one Roger Goodell.

Goodell has a tin ear for everything. I agree that he’s a loser.

But his players are radical activists who could have ruined the NFL with a strike if anyone stood in their way of being racial anti-social kooks. Goodell and the coaches are afraid of the black brotherhood.

So the brothers have the power to cut off their stupid noses to spite their ugly faces.
