Just wow!!! I knew all kids of people in the 1940’s born at home!
Oh gee Mears I’m sorry but it is West Virginia after all we are not as modern as ya all!
Did that to my sister in laws kids this last August.
Told them they could have a 5 dollar bill if they could count the change out to me for an item costing a buck fifty five!
They could not do it. I kept the five. Oh I was BAAAAAAAD for doing that.
You must have lived in the city. My Aunt delivered several babies.
I helped with cows calving.
In fact am going to say this.
It did not shock me to say the least that this woman was having a “home delivery” considering where she lived.
What shocked me is she did it by herself. In parts like that would have been a woman your age to assist her. This must have happened so fast she had no time to call anyone.
Yes,I lived in Boston-——awash in hospitals.
.
I was Boston———we all have different experiences.
.
“You must have lived in the city. My Aunt delivered several babies.”
Oh she lived in a big modern city. Must be New York. No where from around these parts.
My uncle was breech and still the doctor did a home delivery.
“You must have lived in the city. My Aunt delivered several babies.”
Oh wait!! Your Aunt? Wow we at lest had Doctor Baker come by. Was your Aunt a doctor or a midwife? Know they midwifes back then.
She sure didnt know you have to clamp
Why wasnt she at the hospital or under the care of a doula?
The parents made them this stupid. My child learned to count and subtract by making change
I took college prep classes. We didnt have any class called Baby and Child. No they didnt teach what to do when a baby is birn. I call BS on your baby and child class...I put money on it didnt teach anything that had to do with proper clamping and cutting of an umbilical cord
I doubt that you ever saw a birth at home. Even in days when it may get have been routine children were excluded from the process. An older woman or a doc would have come to help with the birth. Others werent in the room
I recall looking at science books in the fifth grade showing cell division that eventually becomes a zygote, then a fetus, then a real baby. I found it fascinating and tremendous.....Good Heavens! Are you Nigel Crane?
If you had bothered to read the article you would have found she is under arrest also for meth and paraphernalia
Am substitute teaching and you wouldn’t believe the number of kids going around with their shoe laces dragging on the floor/ground because they don’t know how to tie them. One PE teacher is having the kids tutored on tying their shoe laces during the regular class period by volunteer high school students.
What do you mean? You saw live home births or you just knew children who were born at home?
Note it was attended by a doctor not children gawking
.
This will not hold up to a jury!
Murder is a deliberate ation, and clearly they cannot show this to be so.
Had she gotten an abortion, they would be calling her “brave.”
.
.
How can you knot the cord before it is cut?
