Why not focus on the bigger story here....a baby is dead and the addict mom was directly responsible
There is one other thing you and I did not take into account and you and lots of other FReerper women should be able to back this up.
All of you who have had a baby know what an ordeal that is. Emotional, stressful, draining, exhausting, tiring, and this was with the help of others around you.
Now just imagine you had to do this by yourself and without an epidural? Imagine what state of mind this woman as in? Someone pointed out to me she was smart enough to cut the cord but when the baby started dying she had no idea as to why or what to do next. Or maybe, she had no idea that the baby was even dying. How were you after your childbirths, more so your first? Okay imagine this woman and with no pain killers.
As for the drugs found in the home? Was she the only one living there? She was the only one home at the time but nothing in this story that ones were found in her system or the baby’s. Unless they tell me they found that or a needle in her arm when they found her I don’t know the stuff belonged to. Anymore when they find drugs in a house they arrest everyone until they figure out who’s drugs it was, unless they had some idea before and who was dealing in that house.
I had C-sections.
24 hours of labor and nothing so I know how exhausting it can be.
By the time they were talking C-section, I told them to just get the baby out and wake me up when they were done.
There are other charges available like manslaughter. A big problem for awhile has been to overcharge by prosecutors. OJ could have been in jail for decades now if they hadn’t gone for a death penalty or life without parole charge. Many jurors just can’t pull the trigger unless they see it on film or have a confession. But 30-40 years for a lesser charge knowing that evidence may come in later that could cut it short is easier on their minds that they aren’t responsible for putting them to death.
I have no idea where I first heard it, but it was always my understanding you had to knot or clamp the cord first.
Also, what is the “arth ping” list?
A lot of women claim a right to kill their baby daughters and sons.
