Cheerleaders who touched off anthem uproar at Kennesaw State regain chance to protest

The “Kennesaw Five” – cheerleaders who were banished from the football field at Kennesaw State during the playing of the national anthem after kneeling during the song in late September – will be back in front of fans starting Saturday.

~SNIP~

As for the reasons behind the protest, cheerleader Shlondra Young told the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, “We kneel for equality. We kneel to highlight social injustice and to highlight police brutality and kneel in honor for those who unjustly lost their lives and for those who could not kneel for themselves. We kneel in a city where a Confederate culture still exists amongst some and issues like this are placed on the back burner.”

~SNIP~

Newton told Yahoo Sports he felt 40 to 45 percent of the campus agreed with the protest, including some faculty. “Professors at our school do not like our president right now,” he said.

There was even a wave of drama when a student in the school mascot uniform kneeled during a rally. “As a student, sure,” Ehrhart told the Marietta Daily Journal. “But with respect to utilizing the school’s mascot, that’s inappropriate.”

`SNIP~

“Everybody still loves Scrappy,” Newton said. “People didn’t agree when he took a knee, but at the end of the day, no one is saying ‘Boycott Scrappy.’ ”

Wait a minute...
We had a black President for EIGHT YEARS and what did he do for blacks. NOTHING He failed.

My best friend’s son just started at Kennesaw State in Sept. Last Friday night he packed up his stuff and moved home from a college sponsored apartment quad because two of the roomates had let two others move in who were dealing drugs out of the apt.

My friends son said that he is sick of the classes with the black professors hate whitey mantra. His black English professor made everybody watch a youtube of 4 white cops beating up a black guy. What has that got to do with English? He said everyday students showing up for class late on drugs, pants on the ground. He said the drugs are everywhere.

Long story short the kid is going to just drive to class for the remaining 5 weeks and then transfer to N GA college in January.

My advice is don’t let your kids enroll at Kennesaw State.

[“Professors at our school do not like our president right now,” he said.]

So therefore whatever you do, don’t think for yourself or live in reality.

Giving kids wierd names, is a way to ensure they can never leave “the community” and enter the white middle class.

African-American: Putting Africa ahead of America - who else puts a foreign country ahead of America? Choosing African names over American names is a given considering that preference. Kneelers and those who name their babies to show African identify do after all identify as African-Americans, with America as secondary identity. Assimilation (or lack of it) into American society is, by their own doing, their preferential decision.

Yale college removes portraits of white men to promote diversity, then re-installs them

"In the context of campus-wide conversations about diversity and inclusion in public art and representation," Davis wrote, "... we've decided to leave the walls empty for the time being, in the hope that the blank walls will begin to prompt conversation on what it means to create common spaces where everyone has a sense of belonging and ownership.”

Davis' email added that the fellows' portraits would be relocated to the college's Fellows Lounge and noted that administrators would be "working to develop plaques/labels for them ... to mark their historical context and significance."

"I can’t image having every subject taught through the liberal lense."

It isn't a liberal lens. Thomas Jefferson was a liberal. This is just an mixture of Communist Propaganda from the last century and racists leftist filth from the new century.

I acquired a degree in Engineering during the sixties when Vietnam War Protests and Black Power Hate Speech was all the rage. These miscreants tried but did not succeed to disrupt real education taking place in the School of Engineering and Science. However these miscreants did manage to fly the vietcong flag and ruin real learning in the so called 'Liberal Arts School' and disrupt the Graduation Ceremony.

.....This is real injustice and it is overtaking young brainless minds...(In Koran 8:12 we find Allah’s advice to Muslims:) "“I will cast terror into the hearts of those who disbelieved, so strike upon their necks and strike from them every fingertip.”....stand for your country or give it away...you are an infidel and Islam is coming for you.

Short answer - yes. Personally, I’ve never, ever met more people with huge chips on their shoulder, grudges and hatred in their hearts than American black people. The contrast to black people in the UK, from Africa, and in Brazil is just amazing.

These protestors are taking the coward’s way out. One of them is quoted “We kneel for equality. We kneel to highlight social injustice and to highlight police brutality and kneel in honor for those who unjustly lost their lives and for those who could not kneel for themselves.” Kneeling is for pansies. Do they plan to do any real heavy lifting to fix these “injustices” they perceive? Of course not. They merely go back to their comfortable middle class lives and go on with daily life, probably never, ever giving a thought to what they could do to make happen the change they seek.

I have not once heard any of these self-important buffoons describe how they would change society to fix their gripes. Would they shut down every police department across the land? Would they open the doors to every prison and let all the inmates walk out?

The only “fix” we’ve heard is the preposterous call for all white people to bequeath their estates to black people and disown their kids. Giving a can of gasoline to an arsonist is not a good idea.

I think this whole this is way past its prime and is starting to fade away. They’ve worn out their welcome and are stinking like week-old fish left on the counter.

We kneel to get attention and because it’s really cool and PC. We kneel because we’ve been told by our grievance-mongering plantation masters that we must. We kneel to pick scabs off matters that should have been settled decades ago. And we kneel to spit in Whitey’s face because he ain’t givin’ us no welfare no mo’.

I checked today and saw the below letter was not published by the 40 or so papers I sent it to. In this country now that is not surprising.

From: Retain Mike Sent: Tuesday, November 7, 2017 9:17 AM To: WSJ Letters (wsj.ltrs@wsj.com) Subject: Commemorating Veteran’s Day

When America’s fallen come from the Middle East they arrive at Dover Air Force Base in caskets covered with a star-spangled banner. When they are buried the flag is removed, elegantly folded, and given to a spouse, child, sibling, or parent.

You stand for the National Anthem. You kneel to pray for the country. Doing otherwise identifies you as feckless, arrogant, self-absorbed. Whatever cause or grievance you think you have becomes squalid and frivolous.

If they allow this to spread to college football the entire sport will collapse - not just the NFL. What a feather in the Communist cap of Kaepernick’s girlfriend.

Those names like Shlondra, LaDavid, Keshawn and Demarcus are not African. I have met and worked with real Africans from Africa as a professional Engineer in the field of Telecommunication for almost five decades. The men and women from Africa who were my colleges during that time spoke no ebonics but English with a slight accent and vocabulary which far exceeds that of most Americans in general and so called African Americans in particular. They had as much in common with American born Blacks as Israelis have with ISIS, Hezbollah and Ha-mas.

A sad commentary on the quality of both primary and secondary education in this country in the past 50 years since I graduated college.

Hey, b@!tches! get the hell out of my country. You are mentally unstable for holding a grudge against people who didn’t do anything to you, but who, in your warped world-view, are exactly equivalent to people who did bad things to people who, by your way of seeing the world, are indistinguishable from you.

Your world-view is insane.

I remember a time when success was defined in terms of marriage, raising kids, career, etc. Now there is an alternative definition. Success means convincing others to adjust their behavior for the emotional damage you have decided to inflict upon yourself because of some apparent slight. Success is then defined as forcing others into codependent relationships, instead of joining those who move through and around the same issues to achieve a traditional definition of success.

Chip on the shoulder for sure. I’m on a local real estate board where we settle appraisal disputes. One day the appellant started out insulting all of us. The one black woman on the board jumped up screaming. “You’re saying that cause I’m a black woman.” I told her he was insulting all of us white board members too. She stormed out making a huge, useless scene.

I could be wrong, but here’s why I disagree with you. The two polar opposites that our nation has become has placed the flag on the list of things we disagree about. They say that it is a symbol of oppression. You say that it is a symbol of the dead.

But America is neither. It is a nation where the law is more important than feelings or contemporary ideas. We honor the dead, but value the living much more. It is a nation that can start out with slaves, fight a horrible war with itself to fix that, and then reform into a single nation again. It is a nation where we can argue or agree to disagree, but no one can tell you that you cannot have a particular opinion. It is nation where every person is nobility by European standards. It is a nation where the Puritan work ethic is ingrained into our psyches and defeatist european slogans don’t even exist until recently when we invented “What...everrrr”.

Yes, people died to make that happen and to preserve it. But people also LIVED to make that happen and to preserve it. I don’t stand for the flag because of dead people because they have received their reward already.

I stand because America is a unique nation in the history of nations and when it falls, what we have will never exist again on earth.
