(CNN) — Civil rights activist the Rev. Jesse Jackson said Friday that he has been diagnosed with Parkinson's disease. A neurological disorder with no cure, Parkinson's can cause tremors, stiffness and difficulty balancing, walking and coordinating movement.

"My family and I began to notice changes about three years ago," Jackson wrote in a statement. "After a battery of tests, my physicians identified the issue as Parkinson's disease, a disease that bested my father."

Jackson added that "recognition of the effects of this disease on me has been painful."

He also said he sees his diagnosis as "a signal that I must make lifestyle changes and dedicate myself to physical therapy in hopes of slowing the disease's progression."

“Agree. My father is in midst of such. He is also Korean War era. It is still not super bad, but is faster progressing.”

My mother died with it...not from it..last year at 100. Lost a beloved cousin last year too. She had it for 20-25 years from onset to finis. It is what took her in mid 70’s.

Maybe if he stopped his race-baiting and other scams, it might go better for him.

Jesse Robinson Jackson —Michele Robinson Obama relative. What was it about her fathers health that triggered her living at the rich relatives house as a teen? Babysitting his children.

I grew up in Greensboro where he was instrumental in desegregating businesses while he was a QB at NC A&T. I give him a pass for that and for having his baby momma with him in posed pictures with Bill Clinton when he was on Clinton’s accountability team.

Does this announcement have anything to do with the recent accusations of sexual harassment?

Well, to give him his due, he preferred not to have to claim gayiety to get out of them.

Notice how the media tags certain people: “Civil rights activist”. That is intended to block further thought, and to plant the idea firmly in the mind of the reader that the person in question is actually like that.

Rush is “conservative commentator.” Spencer is “islamophobe”.

This man has hurt Blacks more than anyone else. By putting the blame for their self-inflicted failures on Whites, they are prevented from reaching their full potential.

When MLK was murdered, JJ rushed to the scene, realizing that he could become the next “civil rights leader.” MLK was a civil rights leader. JJ is an imposter and a fraud.

Certainly explains his absence on the public stage in recent years. Narcissists can’t bear allowing anyone to see that they aren’t the image of perfection they see in that lying reflection in the mirror. I pity him, but have nothing good to say about the man, so don’t ask.

As I get to be older, I try to be more forgiving and thoughtful of others. It's taken me decades to calm down and think first before speaking. Jesus knows my heart, so this is very difficult to do.

What I've figured out over the years is God is patient and vengeance is His. If we go back to Cain, God marked him and gave him 7 generations to repent. God could have killed him right there when he murdered Abel, but God is so good, He gave Cain plenty of time to repent. Apparently, he never did. The Jewish Rabbi's teach that Cain's mark was a horn on his head. Move forward to Tublecain 7 generations later. Lamech was allegedly half blind and Tublecain directed a hunting shot to a horn he saw in the bushes. Lamech shot Cain to death with an arrow and he then killed Tublecain in his anger.

The point is, God will have His way, it's not up to us. All the enemies I've accumulated over my life, I've had to give over to God. They may, at some point repent and come to the Lord. I'm not their judge. Our job is to pray for them, ergo "Pray for your enemies".

God doesn't suffer hypocrites, so even if you call yourself pastor, reverend, or congressman, their day will come to face their judge and that's not me. When we get there, we will see people that we never dreamed would make it, and look for others we thought were a sure bet to make it. Who am I to judge God's judgement? He told us to judge their fruit. If your fruit is abortion, sodomy, lies, and fornication, he has a lot to repent for. But then again, so do I. If we could just relax and trust God, there would be so much less hate and worry.

Everyone always quotes the Commandment about not taking the Lord's name in vain. It's not about cursing. There are plenty of verses about a filthy mouth. What God is saying is don't call yourself a Christians and not be one. As the Bride of Christ, we take His name and are expected to act accordingly. To call yourself "Christian" and support abortion and sodomy, fit's this bill. Romans 1:32 tells us of various sins and then states that if we support those sins, we are guilty of those sins. You may say you would never have an abortion, but don't want to stop it, you are guilty of said abortions. Same with homosexuality. You might not be one, but if you support it, you are guilty.

We all have plenty of time to repent, but we are not guaranteed tomorrow.

The announcement comes right after he’d ID’d as a sexual predator. What a coincidence.

I have seen it take down a friend, seemingly too young to have to worry about such things. It truly is a terrifying disease.

As for Jesse Jackass ... he never had much in the way of cognitive function to begin with, and his earthly suffering is probably just a warmup. Pun intended.

I would not wish PD on anyone, even a corrupt, lying, race baiting, poverty pump such as Jesse Jackson.

Karma's a bitch.
